Chapter 1

I still can't believe it.

Here I am, standing in front of Peter & Sons Coorporation as a new employee for my first day as secretary.

When I apply the job a month ago even with my lack of experience I never knew that they will contact me to make an appointment for a test and then another contact for an interview which lead me here today.

I have to borrow my friend's, Sarah, one of her attire business clothes since all I have is only a shirt and skirt while I have informed from the HR for using blazer since I'm going to be one of Senior Partner secretary, Mrs. Rahayu and she's one of the perfectionist person in the office.

I still think that I'm going to blow everything up and disappointed myself but my parents teach me to be fearless and don't let anyone tromp you.

With trembling hand and feet, I take a step inside the building before walk to the receptionist to get an ID to be able to come inside.

"Hi, can I help you?" The receptionist asked politely while staring at me.

I nod my head and give her my best smile "I'm Mariam Chang, new employee for Mrs. Rahayu" I told her with the same politeness voice while she start typing on her computer.

"Oh, Yes, from the Legal dept" She nodded before printed something and give the paper to me "Please take these and fill it to give it to HR, Mr. Yan, he will come to meet you" I collect the document and start following her to one of the meeting room. She wear Peter & Sons Coorp. navy uniform with black heels that I find classy and glad to know that I'm borrow one of Sarah clothes or I'll lost my confident.

My parents sound really proud when I called them last night about me joining this company because they give everything for me to be what I am right now, my father also an employee but he's only a truck driver while my mother teach English in my town.

Whole my life, I am living in Guangzhou, China and we're not the rich family that could afford anything. I have to work double shift to be able to continue my school and join the secretary class at night, that's why sometimes I wonder how does it feel to be rich or being a princess.

When Mr. Yan come and explain everything, he take me to my desk in front of Mrs. Rahayu office and I also have the opportunity to meet my famous boss who just nod before turned around and continue with her works.

Everything looks fine, I just have to clean up the documents on my desk, looks like the previous secretary do something bad that make Mrs. Rahayu have to fired her immediately. So right now, I just follow Mr. Yan lead and do whatever he said.

Just as I finish collect the correspondent into one map, Mrs. Rahayu called and asked for my company to meet one of his client.

Nervous is not the only thing I felt right now, it's the first time I even do something like this.

She take me to one of the famous restaurant and I try to hold myself when I see the interior of the building. She explain that I just need to write the important thing of the meeting before make it as an report for her today.

Let just say that I have succeed to gain her trust for my first task because I have exceed her expectation.

The first task going into the second, third and I didn't realize that I'm holding my first paycheck from the company.

Squeal happily before go to the Atm to send money to my parents, I never felt more proud of myself for my achievement. This is amazing, I am in top of the world.

I made a couple of friends there, who sometimes hanging out together after office time or just eat lunch.

I almost forgotten about my obsession with a prince, thinking that it's just a stupid dream for a little girl since this is real life and there's no prince here.

I can't help but chuckled and shook my head thinking about how stupid I am for believing that there's Prince out there for me.

I have to eat lunch by myself since Diana and Gretha said they have tasks to finish so I decide to bring them Starbucks and didn't aware that someone walking fast to my direction.

I didn't say him coming when I felt everything on my hands fall down on the floor and also on our shirt.

"s**t!!" I shout when realize the mess I made only to get another shock when I see the same bluest eyes from the same man that I saw on my graduation months ago "Oh God, I'm so sorryyy... I.. I.."

"Now, it's my fault" He said calmly with a smile that almost make me lose my breathe for seeing a handsome man smiling to me.

Snap out it, Mari, I scold myself before look down to looking at the mess on the floor also on our shirt.

Crap, I should go back to my office looking like this, with coffee stain on it.

"I have spare shirt on my car if you want" Like he know what I am thinking right now, my eyes widened when I hear his words.

"Really?!" I quickly respond and blushed hard when I hear myself sound eager like a child having a candy, but the handsome blue eyes man just chuckle and nod his head.

When two of the office boy start cleaning the dirty floor he tap my shoulder before start walking which I quickly follow "It's my fault anyway and I know you still have works so you can't wear those ruin shirt" He said in between his pace until we stop infront of black Audi.

I try to hold myself when I see the car for the first time with my own eyes.

Who is this man?

How can he afford this kind of car?

"Here" I have to blinked several times when he shove me a plastic bag of new shirt "Sorry for ruining your clothes and for the coffee" I just nod my head when grab the bag from him before decide to go change before I am late.

"Thanks" I murmur softly with a nod.

"Hey" I just turn and take one step when I stop from a hand on my forehand that make me turn my gaze back to him "How about the coffee? At least I should take you out for one" He mused.

Call me stupid, but I didn't aware of his intention that day so I shook my head and said "It's okay, bye" before take a leave from the handsome man.

I never have any boyfriend so I never knew anything about flirting with one, so when I explain my encounter with the blue man to Diana and Gretha, let just say that they both have to smack my head for my stupidity.
