It has been a few days since Briar began training. There have been highs and lows. Elder Linklin was impressed at how quickly she retained the information from our history books. She has a photographic memory that surprised them. I already knew because she would tell me stories she had questions about before falling asleep in our bed at night. He has also been working with her as much as possible to try and tap into her memory. So far, nothing has cracked the surface.
Elder Esmeralda has been quite successful with teaching her spells. Getting the power to grow as needed is the problem. It seems to come in spurts.
