The Bon Fire...

Alpha Ronan “Alpha Ronan, as usual, it is such a pleasure to have you visit us!” Luna Aquinas greets me as I enter the grand hall of the castle. The New Moon pack is as large as we are. They have a mixture of species living within their pack as well. We are the closest to them. Our fathers grew up together and trained together and have remained the best of friends since. Luna Aquinas herself is a beautiful woman of Middle Eastern descent. Her jet-black hair pulled away from her face as the jewels from her tiara reflected off the chandeliers. She still looked as young as in her twenties. She was made to be a Luna in every aspect of the word. Regal, smart, confident, and powerful. Luna Aquinas was the perfect mate for the Alpha. Known far and wide for her beauty. “Thank you again for seeing me on such short notice. I know you all are busy as well.” I replied as bowed to her. We were like family, but still, I would never hug her and have my scent on her. Putting your sent on another’s mate was a death threat. The last thing I needed was for Alpha Zell to come charging and starting an all-out war between our packs. Yes, it could get that intense. There is nothing stronger than the bond of a powerful Alpha and his Luna. They give each other immense strength, or there are fables about them being able to merge powers. That has never been seen, though, in several hundreds of years. "Nonsense. Always time for family!” She continued as the doors from the lobby opened. Alpha Zelle walked out with his huge frame. He was close in height and size to myself. He was a broad man, and most of his skin covered in tattoos representing every kill. He was a ruthless fighter. I enjoyed our spars. A huge smile on his face as we locked forearms. Behind him followed by future Alpha Auri. She was as beautiful as always. She had her father’s caramel brown eyes and her mother’s good looks. She smiled at me as they came closer. “Good to see you again, chump.” Auri teased. We were raised like siblings, but we knew that our parents hoped we would be destined mates. Alas on our eighteenth birthdays, our wolves felt nothing. So, we spent time at Alpha training and always kept in touch. “Good to see you as well, chumpette.” I replied as I followed them all into the Alpha’s office. “Are we going to have time for a sparing so I can kick your ass as usual?” she asked as we sat down across from the Alpha as he chuckled as he always did with us. “Language! You are still a lady, somewhere in there! I swear you exhaust me.” Luna Aquinas spoke. She stood next to her mate as he welcomed her unto his lap. “Sorry mom.” Auri smiled teasingly to her mom. “I have Alpha Malcolm on video chat.” Alpha Zelle begins. “Father.” I nod to him as a take a seat. “Alpha Zelle, thank you for your assistance. Luna.” My father nods to them both. “Not a problem, my friend. Dear, do tell what you found out.” Alpha Zelle asked. “Well, legend has it that there is a special being that I was informed of from my coven. He or she should be around the age of getting a wolf. They have powers beyond anything we have ever seen. We think they may be the great Omni-Wolf. The one that is a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess who was sent to earth to help balance all the dangers in the world. The problem is that the lineage supposedly all died off. They were hunted down, used for their powers, and murdered. All the books from my coven show there were no word of survivors. But the level of energy we have picked up recently tells us that maybe there is someone who survived. So, we think your breach may be of that person. You say they brought no harm to your pack?” “Correct.” “They probably have no idea who they really are. If you find them, they must be protected at all costs. If we felt the power here, then for sure, those who wanted to use those powers for evil felt it.” “How is it possible someone with such powers would not know about it?” “Maybe there was a protection spell on them.” Auri spoke “Yes, that could be. Or their powers could be only activated by being on certain lands, like yours, Alpha.” Luna Aquinas adds as she looks through a book on her mate’s desk. “So, it could be anything that is triggering this.” My father questions. “Just know I will prepare my men and women warriors. Your pack is our pack. We will assist you in any way possible.” Alpha Zelle states. “Thank you, Alpha. We will be truly appreciative.” “I will get to work on my spells. So, we can teleport the warriors and also so we can get to you as soon as possible.” Luna Aquinas adds. I nod to them both. “If the person is indeed on your land. They could unknowingly bring the war of all wars directly to your doorstep.” Alpha Zell adds. “Wow, this is crazy! Especially because they should have come here. I mean, I am such a better fighter than you. No worries. My warriors and I will come and help save your ass. Like I have been doing in training for years.” Auri jokes as I fall out laughing. She always knows how to make a good moment out of a difficult situation. “Auri Marie Singh! If I have to warn you one more time!” Luna Aquinas yells. “Sorry mom! Sorry!” “Please help get Ronan settled into his room for the night. Dinner will be ready at seven.” Luna replies, and I can tell this daughter of hers has worn her last nerve. I smile as I follow her to my usual guest room when I visit. Then instantly, I feel a pulsing pain. I grab my head, gritting my teeth in agony. “What’s wrong?” Auri asks, rushing towards me. “Mom!” I can feel something is wrong back home. Something is happening. Then, just as suddenly, the pain stops. I open my eyes to see the Luna and Alpha and their resident doctor by my side. “I’ve never seen anything like this before. You seemed to have a mirror pain. There is some link to you and what is going on back home.” Dr. Kela comments. “I need to go. Something is happening. Luna, can you transport me home.” I ask. I mind link, Colton. Or try to rather and it actually works. I’ve never been able to communicate that far. “Yes, come along.” Luna Aquinas takes my hand and begins to chant. Suddenly, a portal opens into the forest by our lake. Titus growls as he breaks to the surface, nodding thanks to the Luna. Then we leap through the portal, landing us in the center of the forest. There are my wolves fighting alongside our allies from the witches and vampires. There are about fifty rogues scattered but no leader in sight. The downpour of rain makes the ground a complete mess. Mud, water, blood, and wolf remain liter the soil. I release my most powerful howl as I run towards a group of rogues cornering some humans. I rip into the first one, detaching his head from his body in one swipe. The next wolf charges at me leaping in the air. I extend my claws sliding under him. I tear into his underbelly, ripping him open. As I look around, I see two slowly approaching me. Thinking they have the upper hand. They both attack at once, charging towards me. I sink my teeth into the neck of one. Ripping it out, watching the life drain from his eyes. The second one gets a bite of my thigh. I thrust both my claws directly into his chest. Removing his heart and taking a bite from it as his eyes dim. I rise covered in blood, knowing this is just the beginning. ***** Emerson It was just a simple bonfire, but it turned hella bad when some supernatural being showed up. I don’t know what kind of abilities Briar has, but they are something. She could detect the rogues in the forest before any of us could. Marlon is the best tracker we have, and he didn’t even sense their presence. Colton is beyond pissed. But he seems to be pissed a lot lately. I have been crazy about him since I was pup. I feel like he will always see me as the annoying little sister to his best friend. When actually I have loved this man since I heard my first fairytale. I hope that when I get my wolf in a week , he is my mate. I don’t know how I would survive if I had to watch him with another she-wolf. ‘You are noticing this, right?’ I mind link Colton as he drives. ‘Yep, she has powers she has no idea about.’ He replied back in mind link, ‘Your brother is at the site now. I have to get back there after I secure you ladies. We need to get your friend to the pack hospital.’ ‘Yes, I will let my mom know we are coming and to contact the elders.’ I mind link everyone in the SUV. I knew the moment I saw her she was a wolf and there was something about her. I could tell she needed us. I can’t explain it. But there is something good and wholesome about her even though she has had a rough life. Then her eyes. When she was looking into the woods, her eyes changed to a golden color for a split second. I will be sure to let the doctors know. We pull into the pack hospital, and my mom is there waiting for us. I am reaching back checking on Briar, who has blacked out, and now the rain has stopped. The doctors and nurses rush out to check on all of us. “We are fine, it’s our friend. She needs help!” I exclaim as we run inside following the doctors as they put Briar on a gurney and rush her inside. We get to the line where we have to stay outside as they work on her. “Are you okay?” Colton asks with that pissed off look on his face. “I am fine, Colton! It was just a bonfire that was attacked by rogues!” I am really getting tired of him treating me like a kid, just like my brother. “A bon fire outside of the territory. Anything could have happened to you. Plus, you had a newbie who doesn’t even know she is a wolf” he whisper-yells. “I am not your problem. I am not doing anything you and my brother didn’t do when you were my age!” I say, standing as face to face as I can get with our height difference. Colton pauses. I swear I heard him growl. “Beta Colton.” My mom steps in giving off her aura of calmness. “Please go be of assistance to your Alpha.” “Yes, Luna.” He bows and quickly departs, transforming as soon as he hits the main doors
