Tony brushed the tips of his fingers against her neck where the handprints were more noticeable.
“What are those?” she asked suspiciously.
“You’ll see. Hold on.” He went back to her bedroom and sat the items on her bedside table before returning to the living room. He picked her up and carried her to the bedroom to sit her gently on the mattress.
“Why did you bring me in here? Couldn’t whatever you are getting ready to do have been done on the couch?” She was really getting nervous but deep down, she trusted him. She didn’t understand why but she did.
Tony lifted one shoulder as he turned to pick up one of the containers from the table. “Could have but it’s going to be more comfortable doing it in here.”
Lindsey wanted to ask what ‘it’ was but decided that she would just wait and see.
