Chapter Nine “Do you want some hot chocolate?” I call to Paul from his kitchen. I toss a K-cup into his Keurig and pull the handle... rich, creamy hot chocolate fills my cup and lifts my mood. Three days passed since Chase showed up at Fission. I tried to call him a few times, but he hasn't returned my messages. He is probably pissed at the way I treated him after Paul showed up that day. It is for the best if Chase and I don't see each other again. Or rather, my brain understands that. My heart, on the other hand, is a different story.
