Before Valerie could walk farther, Josh walked so fast until he was finally only a foot from her.
“What’s your name, beautiful lady?” Then Josh smiled. Usually, when he did that, no woman was immune to his charm.
Since Valerie didn’t say anything, Jackie, who kept staring at Josh, shook her head. “I think you’re in trouble, Val. The hunk wants you. I’m sure of that! So, you should decide. Do you want him or not?”
Valerie sighed, then she whispered in Jackie’s ear, “I don’t know him at all. Let’s go!”
Jackie widened her eyes. “Are you sure, Val?” Then Jackie glanced at Josh. “Look at him! He’s hot! Also, his face, his clothes, and how he carries himself, I won’t be surprised if he’s a nobleman.”
Valerie smiled at Jackie. “You read too many romance novels. There’s no nobleman now.”
