Enticing The Alpha

Chapter 10

"How dare you kiss me without my permission" I screamed, pushing him away from me, "Do you do this to every woman that you meet?" I sneered, my blazing eyes never leaving his even for a second. I raised an accusing finger at him, "I didn't know you are a p*****t!"

He looked shocked with my choice of words, I thought I could see the hurt in his eyes before he gathered himself together, a lopsided smirk playing on his lips, "Why, does that make you jealous?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.

My wolf agreed but I made sure to look at him as disgusted as I can, "You're so full of yourself aren't you?" I asked, shaking my head. I was beginning to get annoyed with his behavior and the chances of me rejecting his ass tonight kept increasing, "Why do you think I will be jealous of that?" I asked, crossing my arms against my chest defensively.

I couldn't help but notice how his playful eyes turned soft as he gazed at me, "Because you're my mate" He said, his voice sending a shiver down my spine. Something just so sensual about it. I might not know about him yet but I know he is an Alpha. I could feel the air of authority around him.

I tried not to shudder, "I am not your mate" I lied through my clenched teeth, "I think I have already said that," I said, getting impatient now.

Every second I spend here with him literally lured me closer to him. I tried to fight back the invisible force but there is a reason why the elders always say that there is nothing as powerful as a mate bond. It was more powerful than the love a mother can offer her child.

It looked like he wasn't in his best mood either, "Stop telling me the same bullshit over and over again!" He commanded and I could hear the Alpha in his surfacing. His eyes dilated and I knew he was fighting off his wolf, "My wolf recognize yours as his mate. I don't think he is wrong. He can hear your wolf trying to reach out for him!"

Of course, his wolf can recognize me, "Look, I am not going to repeat myself again" I snapped, "Please leave me alone. If you keep harassing me, I won't let this slide" I warned him through my grounded teeth.

He took a threatening step towards me, "What are you going to do about it, huh?" He challenged me, "Listen, Sophia-"

Pleasure shot down in my spine when he said my name. Who knows my name can sound so right coming off from those perfect lips, "How do you even know my name? Have you been stalking me?" I interrupted him abruptly. There is no way he could have known me from last night.

This time surprise flickered on his face, "You don't remember me?" He asked, watching me warily.

I scowled, "No" I barked again.

For a second, he looked disappointed, "I am Lorenzo" He introduced himself, "Your mother used to be in our pack before she met your father. I am Alpha Lucas and Luna Hazel's son" He continued.

It did make sense he knew me then. My mother used to bring me along with her whenever she visited my grandparents but I don't think I can recall meeting someone like this, "I- I um, I rarely visited my grandparents when I was little" I said, letting my guard down for a while.

He sighed, "Alright, we can talk about that later. Tell me why are you running away from me? I thought everyone is excited to meet their mate" He crossed his arms against his chest as well, mimicking my posture.

Right, we have a bigger problem to address now, "I don't want a mate right now" I said bluntly.

Her face was hard but the hurt in his eyes made me flinch. My wolf was begging me to not do this, she hates that he is hurt, "Can I know why?" He asked, his voice was stoic of any emotion, "Perhaps there is someone else in your life..." He trailed, the jealousy was clear as a day on his face.

I scoffed, "Don't be ridiculous. I said I don't want a mate now. That means I don't want a relationship now" I grumbled, turning away from him to leave but he grabbed my arm again and I couldn't help feel thrilled as his skin made contact with mine, sending electric shock waves on my insides.

I looked up at him and found him glowering down at me, "All I am is asking is why?" He tried not to growl at me.

I yanked my hand away from his grasp roughly, "I don't have any obligation to tell you why" I growled, "Do not touch me as you please!"

He ignored my warning, "Oh you have every obligation to me why. You are my mate. The mate that I waited for many years and when I finally find you, you're saying you don't want me" His words fluidly flowing out of his mouth, "Do you know how that feels like Sophia?" He asked, taking another step closer to me.

He was so close that I could feel his hot breath fanning against my face. Again, the way he said my name made me uncomfortable, stirring something inside of me, "Please, do not say my name" I literally begged.

My wolf let out a moan of delight but I bit down my lower lip, swallowing it before it could escape through my lips.

He looked at me blankly at first and then understanding swam in his eyes, "Why? Does that make you uncomfortable Sophia?" He asked me, intentionally emphasizing my name.

I clenched my jaw and balled my fists, "Stop!" I growled again, "I don't want a mate! Just leave me alone!" I started to walk away from there but I knew he wouldn't let me go that easily.

He followed me in that maze as I started to scold myself internally for stepping into this maze, "You can't do this to me, Sophia. You can't go through this just because you are not ready" He continued.

It looked like he had no intention of letting me go, "Alright, I had enough of this!" I growled, "I will end this once and for all. I, Sophia of the Blood Moon pack, reject you-"

He quickly covered my mouth with his hand, not letting me finish the sentence, "You think I would let you get away that easily?" He asked, his eyes piercing into mine.

My eyes widened and I struggled to get away from him but he was much stronger than me. I know I was no match for an Alpha. My eyes started to tear in helplessness, "You are my mate and there is no way in hell I am going to let you go without having a chance with you" He shook his head.

We heard a twig snap not far from us and both of us turned our heads at the same time to look where the sound had come from, "What the f**k is going on here?" I heard my father's low growl and a second later, he appeared in front of us, his eyes widening at our posture.

Oh hell, this just got worse.

"s**t" I heard Jasper say and found him peeking at us from behind our father.

My father literally started shaking in rage, "If you love your hands then it would be the best choice to let go of my daughter now or else your hand won't be connected to your shoulder for long" He spoke everything in one breath and instantly Alpha Lorenzo released me, making me let out a relieved breath.

But who knows my relief will be short-lived because Alpha Lorenzo straightened his back in determination and I knew then and there what's going to happen, "Alpha Xander" He greeted my father politely, "Your daughter is my mate and she just attempted to reject me just now. I was merely covering her mouth so she wouldn't finish the rejection"

I could literally see steam coming off my father's ears as he glared at me. I quickly looked down at my feet, afraid to meet his furious gaze, "We should take this to a proper place" I heard my father say after a few fleeting seconds, "Please follow me, Alpha Lorenzo" He added.

Alpha Lorenzo exhaled sharply and started to walk away from there. I quietly followed him and noticed my brother walking beside me, "You have a s**t load of explaining to do" Jasper whispered.

And I don't know how am I going to stand back up from this mess.

An hour later, I found myself sitting in front of The King's meeting room. It turns out the King was generous enough to lend his meeting room to my parents, mate, and my mate's parents to discuss my life.

Surely, it wasn't a very pretty scene but yeah, here I am.

"I don't understand why you are hell-bent on not wanting a mate. You got yourself an Alpha, you should be grateful" Kyle grumbled, shaking his head at me in disapproval.

He has been like this ever since our parents disappeared behind the meeting room. He kept muttering something,"If you think I am ungrateful then you can keep him" I snapped back, losing the last straw of my patience.

My brother sighed, appearing to be tired, "Sophia, you can't seriously do this" He said with a shake of his head.

I scowled at him, "I said this before and I will continue to say this over and over again until I drill into everyone's skull, I don't want a mate now" I hissed.

The doors suddenly flew open and my father stood out from the room, "Enough" He commanded, glaring at me."We have already discussed what we can do to make this fair for both parties. You're going to go and stay with Alpha Lorenzo in Blood Moon pack" He continued, dumping me in a situation that I never wanted.

"No way in hell" I protested right away, "I can't agree to that"

From my peripheral vision, I could see my mate walking out from the room, "You didn't let your father finish" He said, his deep baritone sending shockwaves down my spine again, "You're going to come and stay with me for three months and if you still don't want a mate after ninety days, you're free to go. I won't disturb you ever again" He promised, looking serious.

I narrowed my eyes on him but before I could say something, Luna Hazel cleared her throat, getting my attention, "Sophia dear, I don't know why you're being like this but I assure you, my son is worth everything in your life. Please do not reject him without actually getting to know him" She said, her beautiful face marring in worry.

I sighed. I felt bad for hurting her in some way, "Luna Hazel, you're putting me in a tight spot" I said, guilt started to wrap its tentacles around me.

I know I can't deny them any longer. They have already come to decision.

"Sophia, please" My mother started. I looked at her next and found her staring at me, many emotions swirled in her eyes but I didn't spend a lot of time to figure what emotions they actually are, "You know how much Luna Hazel and Alpha Lucas mean to me. They helped us in the past to make our pack safe-"

I held up my hand, efficiently stopping her from talking, "This is not the right way to pay gratitude mother" I responded. I hated I sounded like a brat now but I have no other choice.

I can't bring danger to my mate as well. I definitely needed some time to sort out the vampire issues...

My mother shook her head, her eyes were soft despite the way I was behaving, "I am not saying this is to pay gratitude but this is to comply with destiny" She said, "Please, for your own good"

I bit my lower lip. I can't possibly fight destiny but I could try to buy myself some time, "I don't know how I feel about this, mom" I said, my shoulders slumping a little.

They are about to win this. I am going to lose. I had no one to help me out.

Alpha Lucas cleared his throat, "I assure you that you will be more than comfortable at our pack" He spoke for the first time since he stepped behind his son, "Besides, you can have some great time with your grandparent's as well, don't you think?" He reminded me that I wasn't alone in his pack.

I did miss my grandparents and honestly, I was planning to visit them in the near future. I felt like I have neglected them long enough, "I- ugh this is messed up" I said, running my fingers through my hair, messing up the hairdo.

Ever since I found my mate, I have been constantly pulling my hair and it is a wonder how the root is still strong.

Alpha Lorenzo smirked, knowing he was about to get what he want. My fingers twitched to punch him straight on his face but I held back myself, "If you think that way then it is messed up" He grinned at me, "If you think this is more of a holiday then it wouldn't be that bad"

I smiled sarcastically at my mate, "So easy for you to say" The words were sour though.

Alpha Lorenzo's eyes softened, "Please, Sophia. Give me a chance" He asked, truly looking desperate now. My heart ached to see him like this and I fully blamed my mate bond for that.

My eyes flickered to my father who has been watching me all this while. I felt him reaching out to touch my mind, "If you mess this up, I am never forgiving you" I heard him say in my mind, "The moon goddess won't forgive you either"

I gulped, knowing how my father is. If he says he won't forgive me then he probably meant that.

I didn't want to be on his bad side, "If I feel the same after three months, you will let me go right?" I asked my mate, just to reconfirm, and saw him nod his head, "Fine, I will go with you" I agreed reluctantly, instantly putting a smile on his handsome face.

This is going to be the longest three months of my life. But I hoped we all will be safe until after that.
