It was Ashley's birthday. She invited everyone in her school for a party in her house. It wasn't just any party. It was a DJ party.
A boy named Mason was the DJ. He is really tall, has dark hair and light brown eyes. He is always excited whenever he has to perform in any place.
Tonight, it was different. Tonight he seemed quite disappointed. He couldn't find his best friend, Anna anywhere. She was always there to support him in other parties. She would always show up at Mason's every performance. But tonight she didn't show up at all. He started to worry.
"Mason! What are you waiting for? Get up and jazz up this party", Ashley told him. She wondered why he was so quiet tonight. "Might be because that good for nothing, Anna didn't show up," she smiled as she thought.
"Alright. Lets do this", Mason got up and went to set his equipment.
Meanwhile, in her apartment, Anna locked her door. She set a chair under her fan. "Perfect", she thought. "I'm so sorry, mom and dad", she mumbled. It was time.
Back in Ashley's apartment, everyone was hardcore partying. Drinking beer, dancing around, playing truth or dare. Mason continued to play some DJ songs. After some time, he headed out to the terrace to call Anna.
The terrace had a beautiful view, showing the whole Manhattan. Mason called Anna five or six times. She won't pick up. Mason left her a voicemail, "Anna, where are you? Are you okay? If you don't come to the party within one hour, I would come and get you. Please call me."
Well, he had no idea that Anna had just hung herself back in her apartment.
Its been one hour and still Anna didn't show up. Mason drove to her place on his bike. He went up to the front door and knocked. He was expecting Anna to open the door, but he was disappointed to see Mrs. Harmon instead. "Mason. What are you doing here?" She asked him in her sweet voice.
"Is Anna here?" Mason asked. "Yeah. She is. Wait here. Let me go get her", Mrs. Harmon went up the stairs to Anna's room. Mason could hear her calling to Anna. It seemed like she wasn't answering the door.
"She has locked the door..... again. I don't know why she always do that. She tells me she always needs "privacy". What is wrong with you teenagers these days", Mrs. Harmon said. Mason smiled. "Lucky for me, I always have a spare key to her bedroom. She doesn't even know that", she started laughing, "please don't tell her about the key" Mason nodded and chuckled to himself.
Mrs. Harmon went up the stairs once again. Mason heard the door unlock. And he heard a scream.
Mason rushed up the stairs to see what was happening and his heart dropped when he saw Anna, hanging herself in a slipknot under the fan.
