Why did I get my hopes up? I understand being upset that I went MIA for a few hours after asking her out, but is she that upset with me? My brain is rattling as I do my press-ups.
The smell of sweat, bleached mats, and air freshener mix to create a toxic cloud throughout the gym. I hadn't heard two words from Cionna all week and I wanted to shrug it off, but I couldn't shake her.
It was bad enough that Josey was still skulking around, but to have been trapped with her for more than twenty-four hours was hell. By the time I got a minute to myself, I decided that calling Cionna would be the gentlemanly thing to do, but my call bounced back. I tried a text and got kicked back too.
