The Alpha's Son

Chapter Two

                                                                                            Jake

            I watched on the edge of the waterhole while Priya and Lucas played around in the water, splashing each other while giggling. They obviously were not mates, so why she was wasting her time with him, I would never know. As wolves, we felt everything ten times stronger than any human, so I could understand those s****l frustrations that she thought she needed to get rid of. But c’mon. With all the guys to choose from, why did it have to be Lucas?

            You sound a little jealous there, friend. Jet was annoying as hell. It wasn't feelings that I was having toward her. I cared for Priya, but not in the way many thought that I did. Now, I was bored out of my damn mind. She was supposed to be here to help me get my mind off this stupid ball. Oh, geez. This ball would be the death of me. My stomach churned at the thought of having all the attention on me for an entire evening.

            Seeing as how I was not needed or wanted here, I began to get up when I saw a strange shadow shoot past me in the woods behind the waterhole.

            Don't! Jet warned, but if there was a threat out here, this close to our packhouse, then I needed to know. I took off running in the direction of the shadowy figure. Whoever it was, was fast as hell. The smell of this person was strange yet familiar. The reason it was so familiar was because my nostrils did the same thing when I was around my mother, who was part vampire. No way was there a vampire this close to werewolf territory. The vampires mostly kept to themselves nowadays due to the fear of being hunted and killed. It wasn't only hybrids that hunters were after. They would kill any supernatural being that crossed paths with them.

            I lost the trail of the stranger lurking in the woods about a mile from the waterhole. I kicked the dirt underneath my feet and cursed under my breath.

            "Don't be too upset, wolf. You wouldn't be able to catch me even if you were rocking your wolf form."

            As I looked up, there was a girl about my age staring down at me from the tree branch she was resting upon. I sneered my teeth at her while letting out a low predatory growl. "Who are you, and what do you want?"

            She smacked her lips as she jumped down from the branch, now standing nose to nose with me. "So eager for information there, soon to be Alpha. It's Jake, right?"

            "How do you know my name and that I am to be Alpha?"

            "I have been watching you for a while now. You seem kind of depressed for someone that is about to become one of the strongest of his kind."

            There were no words left to say. If she had been watching me, that was all I needed to know. I began to surround her while she did the same to me. As I surrounded her, I was able to take in every detail of her body. She was gorgeous with her blacked-out clothing and fishnet stockings. She wore a top cut off right below her breast, revealing almost everything she had to offer. The shorts she was wearing was cut off right before they began to show too much.

            "If you were wondering, my name is Davina. You better watch the way you are drooling over me. We might have to do something about that." Her eyes began to trail over my body in the same way mine was scanning over her body.

            Davina stopped and ran her hands over my bare chest. Before I knew it, her lips fell over mine, kissing me roughly and seductively. My hand trailed through her long auburn hair while her lips trailed over mine. The feeling of having her cold lips touch my warm lips sent a bolt of electricity straight to my erection that was growing by the second.

            Who was this girl, and why did she have this effect on me? Of course, I had fooled around with other women before, but I could always control myself. With Davina, it was like all control was out the window. I began to kiss the base of her ice-cold neck.

            She pushed me forcefully against a nearby tree. "Don't think for one second that I am some kind of fool. One bite from you, and I'd be dead in no time."

            "What did you do to me? Why am I unable to control myself?"

            A wicked smile appeared on her face. "You won't be able to control yourself anymore around me. In about thirty minutes, the spell will have done what it was supposed to do. You will remember everything but will not be able to say or do anything that I don't want you to do. It will be as if you are in love with me, doing everything that I ask."

            "What the f**k are you talking about? I'm not in love with you. I only just met you!"

            Her hands traveled over the bulge in my swim shorts. The breath I was holding caught in my throat. For some strange reason, having her touch me felt like nothing I have ever felt before. "At this ball that your parents have arranged for you, will be your mate. I don't want you to know who your mate is for reasons of my own. All that you will know after today is that you want to make me your Luna when you become Alpha of your pack."

            I couldn't focus on anything she was saying while she was stroking my length. "f**k, your touch feels so..."

            Davina placed her mouth next to my ear. "I know how good it feels, Jake. This is the feeling you will remember when I am around you from now on. You will be made to feel like I am the only one that can do this to you."

            Jet was trying to break through, but the spell had already begun to set it, making it impossible for even him to break it. I wanted to fight, but the pull was too strong. I grabbed Davina and placed her lips back over mine as I began to move my erection between her legs. Even through this spell, I could tell that I was having an effect on her too.

            "Oh, bad dog," she said as her hand came crashing against the side of my face.

            Why did that turn me on so damn much? As Davina stepped back from me, I took one step toward her until she was pressed against a tree of her own. I pushed aside her auburn hair and stared into her red demonic eyes. My hands traveled from her neck down over her chest until I stopped at her breasts nearly spilling out of her shirt. I watched as she arched her back in response to my touch. Oh, so I do something to her as well. Nice to know.

            "I am going to get in so much trouble for this," She said as she ripped off her shirt and jumped on top of me, wrapping her legs around my waist.

            My mouth watered at the sight of her bare breasts only inches from my face. I pushed my swim shorts down until they hit the ground and wasted no time ripping off her shorts. After that, everything else became a blur as the spell had set up its roots deep inside me. I felt like I no longer belonged to myself, only that I belonged to a complete stranger that I knew was the enemy, but I couldn't fight against it.

            "JAKE!" I could hear Priya yelling my name, but my eyes were closed. I could feel the hardness of the ground against my back, but I was unable to move. "f**k, what happened to you?" She lifted me up the best that she could but ended up dropping me a few times she began to walk.

            Minutes later, we were back on pack territory. I could tell because I could recognize the smell of my own pack anywhere. Priya was running out of strength as she carried me. I could feel her grip beginning to slip.

            She must have linked someone in the pack because I could faintly hear the help signal through my own link, though it was barely audible. Seconds passed before I could feel my body being lifted in the air and being thrown over someone's shoulder. Then, I passed out.

            When I woke up, I was back in my room, staring up at the ceiling as my eyes slowly began to open. Night had fallen as the only light in my room came from the brightly lit moon right outside my window.

            "Jake, honey, are you okay." It was my mother's voice.

            I looked off to the left of me, and there stood my father over my mother, who was sitting on the bed with me. "Um, what is going on?"

            My father scrunched his eyebrows. "You tell us, son. Priya found you out in the woods unconscious."

            Everything started to come back to me in pieces, but when I opened my mouth to tell them what happened, something else entirely came out. "I don't know. We were at the waterhole when I went off on a run because Priya had her attention on Lucas. That is pretty much all that I remember."

            "Strange," my father chimed in with his opinion. "Maybe we should have Isabel take a look at you to be sure."

            In my mind, I was telling them that danger was coming, but my mouth was saying anything but what I wanted it to. "That isn't necessary. I'm fine, really. It could have been from me pushing myself so much with these workouts, preparing for the role of Alpha. I might have pushed myself too hard, too soon."

            My mother stood from the bed and shook her head. "Okay, we will leave you to get some rest." She kissed my forehead and walked off with my father.

            NO! I was screaming in my head for them to come back. They didn't seem to hear me as they left the room, closing the door behind them. Memories began to come back to me like flashes inside my mind. Images of Davina kissing me, and images of us having s*x. How could I have had s*x with someone and not remember it?

            It's the spell. She only wants you to remember what she wants you to remember, and you will say what it is that she wants you to say, Jet responded to me.

            Thankfully I could still talk with him. 'If I can talk to you, then that means you can link the pack and let them know what is going on.'

            I'm sorry, Jake, I can't. The spell has reached me as well. Whoever this Davina woman is, she is smart. We will have to be smarter and find a way to break this spell before she makes her way into our pack.
