Valentine’s Sweet Treats
After that night of the destruction, which we didn’t cause, Kate’s bakery business picked up. Especially with Valentine’s Day coming up. Plus, after that night, Frazier took a job there. It’s not so much for the money, but to watch things. As much as I was glad to have him there, not so sure it was a fantastic idea to hire Frazier. He knew about Coconut Cream pies.
Kate was busy getting special orders ready for Valentine’s Day, which was in three days. Guys wanted to surprise their girlfriends with sweet treats. Frazier and I waited on customers, taking orders. Everything was running, and we knew things would work out. At least, we thought so, until the morning before Valentine’s Day.
