Chapter 21
Aftermath
We showered and changed out of our stained, drenched clothes. We all sat around the living room. Mom gave the guy sweats, and I gave the girls some of my clothes to borrow. The eight of us sat around there. After dealing with the disaster, my parents went to bed, which I like to refer to as homecoming.
I was lying on Ryan, and he stroked my hair. I thought about everything that happened and how it all transpired. The more I thought about it, the more I couldn’t help but laugh. Everyone looked at me like I lost my mind. Ryan must have picked up on it because he laughed, and soon everyone followed suit.
“I can’t believe that happened,” Frazier said with a chuckle.
