Mason stopped by to talk to Charles about business while Charles’s family was getting ready for the holidays. They closed the door to the office for privacy.
Mason sat in front of Charles. Charles pulled out a file in his desk drawer and handed it to Mason, and Mason opened it and read it. “Are you sure you want to do this, Charles?”
“I don’t have a choice.”
“We all have choices. Where’s the picture?”
“It was there, then disappeared.”
Mason frowned. “Pictures don’t disappear, Charles. Only someone close enough to you has access to this room. If my guess is correct, you have a major problem on your hands.”
“What will I do?”
“Let’s see how it pans out. It might be nothing, but if it is, we’ll make changes.”
