Chapter 31
Some people don’t learn
True to his word, Mason had us drove back and forth to school and people watching us. We got so used to it; it was like second nature. Things were okay until a particular incident at school.
I was in the class with Drew when Davina came running into the classroom, out of breath. We both looked up at her as I asked, “Davina? What’s wrong?”
“Elijah. Maddox. Some other guy. Fight,” Davina said between breaths. Drew and I got out of our seats. He yelled at me, “Get Matt!”
We ran to get Matt while Drew ran to Elijah’s location. We reached the door of the classroom as I yelled, “Matt!” He looked up and then added, “Dylan!” He got from his seat, and the three of us raced toward Elijah’s direction.
Drew was the first to come upon the scene as three guys too
