Chapter 24
New Year’s Party and surprises
After Christmas, we all went home. Dad said that he had a surprise for us, but if it were another “visit” to a family member, I’d pass. We pulled up to a house, but it wasn’t Uncle Frazier’s house. We got out of the car and walked up to the house. Dad walked to the door and opened it. He turned around and said, “Welcome home, family.”
Our faces dropped in shock as the three of us turned to see Mom, Drew, and everyone smile. The three of us ran inside, yelling and checking out all the rooms.
Mom walked over to Dad, and he looked at her. “They approve.”
“Yep,” Mom said as she kissed him, and he hugged her as they went inside along with everyone else.
