Chapter 9
Homecoming, part one — here we go again
“Is he dead?” Austin asked.
Liam poked Drew. “I don’t think so. He feels warm.”
“He snores,” JJ said.
“Because he’s a guy, duh,” Mackenzie rolled her eyes.
“That’s not true,” said Nikolaus, giving Mackenzie a look.
“Yes, it is. It’s a known fact that all guys snore,” Mackenzie said to Nikolaus.
“How would you know?” Asked Austin.
“Because of you, Dad, and Nik all snore. Plus, Mom says you sound like dying bears,” Mack told her brothers.
“We do not,” Nikolaus exclaimed.
As the five of them argued, Drew opened his eyes and yelled, “Ah!” Then Drew fell onto the floor. They all gathered around him, looking at him as he looked up, still lying on the floor.
“Well, I guess that answers the question if he’s dead,” Liam said with a shrug
