CHAPTER EIGHT Karina had never been so nervous in her life. Sitting in the dark, alone, she could hardly focus on the screen in front of her. Even in the meeting with the two conspiring presidents, or fleeing from the Secret Service, she had not been as anxious as she was then. Veronika’s plan had worked, at least to some degree.
