I was really puzzled about why he was getting more bad mannered towards me with every minute that went by. The truth is I had never done anything that was making him treat me the way he was treating me. The only thing that I had done was to love him like there was no tomorrow.

“Please, just tell me where my baby girl is and I promise I will never get to you again.” I pleaded with him and hoped he felt pity for me even if a single minute. I wanted to meet my Sam and that was the only thing that mattered at this time.

What he replied with was actually more than what I expected would be his reaction at the time. He laughed out loudly. It was a kind of laughter that felt to be more relaxed and not having any worry . At the time the woman was now next to him still holding that baby. Every time I looked at this baby, I only thought about my own baby .

She once again like before shot me death glares as she interlinked her fingers with that of my husband.

“Babe, what the hell is wrong with this s**t ? I thought we had finally been able to get rid of her forever. Why is she here ?” she asked .

“That is exactly what I also thought . I thought that we had finally gotten rid of her which would make our lives better . “ My own husband whom I lived with for some years replied disgusted. A man who I did not question his love all those years since he never did anything that could make me question it.

He acted as the best husband, the best daddy and above all a best friend. He was everything that I was not able to get .He acted as the father and as well as the mother who I never got a chance to be with .

All my life rotated around him and I felt like in him I had gotten everything that I dreamt of getting all the time. Now if everything is in such a manner , what is going to happen to me now .

“Justin, what is really wrong with you ? This is not you at all. in the past you never let me go through any kind of suffering like what you are making go through now. In fact you were always there for me at all times.” I lamented as tears were flowing down my eyes.

The two just looked at me as though they were actually watching a very interesting a movie . The fiancé get more hold of his hand and dragged him a way saying ;

“We have seen enough of her. We have to get going . Do not forget we have to organize the wedding .”She said and they moved away to their expensive car that was waiting by .

I was not going to leave them to go . I was going to try and find out about my girl. An idea flashed through my mind, I got the cab that was passing by and instructed the driver to go after the car . I knew I did not have any money to pay the cab driver but I had nothing to do .

That was not going to be another time. At this moment what mattered most was to go after them . The driver did exactly was I had instructed him to do. His cab went after the car and soon we were parked not far away from the place that I knew every well. Next to a house where I had lived the best few years that I had with Justin.

Though we were in a state of poverty and all that , we were so friendly to each other and I believed he loved me as much as I loved him- okay that was how I believed based on the way he treated. He used to trick me with so many things until that idea of me going abroad to work came about .

Damn it! I don’t even want to think more about all that , it is only one thing that matters at this time and that is my daughter .

I spotted as the two got out of the car and got into the house. But there was equally something that puzzled me . How comes with all the money that I sent that he was still living in this house. Though we were in love all that time, at least I knew that he did not like the house.

He used to a***e it with so many abuses and yet to me it was a house that I never wanted to exit. It contained all the best memories that I could not want to forget . I had lived there with a man who was my husband as well as my best friend.

It was even the same place where my baby had been home. I Suddenly begin to smile though tears flow from my eyes at the same time.

I cant possibly forget aby if those times when I had all those sweet memories .

“Are you okay ?” the cad driver asks me with concern when he looked at me and found that I was actually crying and laughing at the same time.”

“Oh yes, you don’t have to worry about me , I am completely okay .” I lied to him. But that was what I was supposed to do . I was not going to be telling every one the life that am living in now.

“Okay .” he did not insist on asking me more questions and I really liked that .

We spent the next ten minutes completely quiet. My eyes were however aimed outside and the two got out of the car and headed inside . At that time I wondered about either to get at the door and spy what is inside but I also wondered how their reaction could be if they happen to find me here again.

But this is my house and I think I have power over it . I counselled my self and that gave me enough to do what I did the next . I got out of the car and moved towards the door. I did not hesitate at all. I immediately started banging on it while shouting as loud as I could.

“Come out , I want my baby .”

“You are such a coward who thinks about only one thing and that is to sleep with the next woman the moment your wife goes away .”

“Get out .”

I swear if there were people who stay in this neighborhood then they could have collected here to watch but the advantage was that neighbors were from far away. So which meant I was not going to have an audience.

Just then the door opened revealing Justin who was so angry to an extent that I had never seen him be that way all the time that I had known him.

“What the hell are you doing here, w***e, how dare you come and begin shouting out here ? There is nothing of yours here and I don’t think you will like it if at all I get angry .” he threatened me but I was not going to give up no matter what.

“just give me my baby and get out of my house. I don’t care if you marry her no not .”

He replied with a loud laughter like before. Laughing is really something that he loves.

“What are you talking about ?” he asked me with a smile all over her lips as he looked at me. He got nearer to me and then extended his hand putting it on my chain and then raising my head our eyes meeting .

in his eyes I was seeing some one that I had never seen before. His eyes contained so much that I could not put a name to.

“I think you need to find out everything so that you stop following us like you a stray dog that is trying to see that it can get a care taker .”

“Sam was taken away and adopted . I don’t even have any idea where she was taken . it was actually only two months after you left. I told them that you had abandoned the baby and yet I was not able to care for it.”

I listened to the heartlessness nature of the man whom I actually thought that I knew but which turned out that he was always aiming at one thing and that was to hurt me.

“leave me alone!” I yelled as I pulled away from him. I held my head in my hands as I felt like it was spinning again.

“Please, can you just tell me where these people who adopted my baby are ?” I pleaded.

“I told you I don’t know since they were foreigners and they went back to their country . Since you have known everything that you wanted to know . You have to get going . I don’t think my baby mama is really going to like it when sees you here .”

With that he went back inside leaving me there all by myself.
