I return to my room, excited about the idea of spending the next few weeks getting to know Nicholas on a deeper level. Unfortunately, last night’s s****l marathon – which continued into the wee hours of the morning after we left the dining room – has left me drained and heading straight for an energy relapse. I know that I need to rest…especially if I’m going to be having this much cardio exercise between the sheets with Nicholas in the coming weeks. I spend the morning in bed, but I need to set straight to work on the garden renovations. I have to admit that I’ve started looking forward to this project, and an idea pops into my head. “Persephone, you’ve said you’re good with plants, right?” I ask her when she brings my lunch tray to my room. “So I’ve been told,” she replies modestly.
