I immediately darted to Jackson who looked agitated too. “What does he mean?” I asked for clarity.
Instead of replying to me, Jackson looked at the Dean and directed the query at him. “What do you mean?”
The Dean explained nothing far from what he had said before. According to him, no other school would accept me because Inkstone warned them not to.
We actually understood the first time, we just wanted to be sure that we heard right.
Jackson and I left the office after we thanked the Dean. Thankfully, we haven't left the east, if not, it would have taken us days to return to Rivermoon.
