Through the window, I saw Maya’s dad speaking to Maya and Williams.
It was not yet noon so no one hurried them to come in. However, from the look of things, Maya’s Father seemed to be angry while Maya and Williams looked like they were explaining to him.
What could he be so angry about if it wasn't lateness, I thought. I looked at Jackson, but he wasn't paying attention.
At some point, the president called Jackson outside and they were having a discussion too. He looked to be in disagreement also.
