She jumps off of the tree branch that she was previously crouching on. Y/n grabs the arrow quickly pulling it out and putting it back in the quiver on her back. She starts her trek through the thick woods once more. Now I know you're wondering zombies what the heck right? Yeah so basically what happened was this virus called corona virus came in 2020. It killed millions worldwide. Then this new virus named the x virus came and made people very sluggish. People and scientists thought it was just a new strand of covid. Oh how wrong they were. Reports of people coming out of they're graves and attacking people were all around. Y/n still remembers on that fateful day when she was laying on her bed playing on her blue switch lite. She was only 17 at the time. She was playing saints row 4 about to romance asha when suddenly the wifi cut out.making an error sign appear on the screen. Since that was a regular accurance with loving in the countryside she out of her door down the small hallway. Her feet making a small pitter patter sound with the hardwood floors. When she got to the living room she saw her dad sitting in the love seat with her mom on the armrest. They were silently watching the horrors that happened on the small screen. "Guys the wifi cut out" She said walking forward to just see as someone was getting viciously eaten on the news. Her eyes widen and she takes a small step back. "What is what" she's at a loss of words as her parents turn around. "Y/n you shouldn't see this" her father quickly got up to cover her eyes from the horror on screen. But the damage was already done. "What the hell was that" she points to the screen. "Language young lady" her mother scolds. Y/n rolls her eyes at her mother and looks at her father. "Honey we should grab anything we can to up here we have to go to the secret place" Y/n's heart starts to beat rapidly at the words that fell from her father's place. Again I'm probably sure you're wondering what is the secret place. Well it's a secret bunker under their house. You see Y/n's parents were very suspicious people they thought the apocalypse was going to come and they were right. Now they weren't cult apocalypse type of people more like build an underground bunker with a latch to it under the fridge. The bunker was equipped with swords and bows and arrows.which are weapons Y/n's parents have made and or acquired on there many journeys around the world. Since Y/n was about 6 she's been trained in the art of bow skills and sword wielding.she even knows how to use a gun but she chooses not to because they are to loud. Anyway it also had enough food to last about 6-7 years 10 if you only ate once a day. It could hold up to 10 people but it was built to house 3. It had some walkie talkies and batteries. A fresh source of water from a lake that was tested and hidden to the world. A couch,a small radio, bookcases full of books, clothes and blankets and 4 rooms 3 of which have beds. And 2 bathrooms with warm water because of a generator. Again I'm sure you're probably thing damn these people were prepared. And they were it's just one thing they weren't ready for or just didn't they of that much. Human evil. So as they got into the bunker closing the hatch that looked like a rug. What Y/n failed to realize is that she left a walkie talkie in her room on the top shelf of her closet. They stayed there for almost a year. Y/n and her father trained every day to hone their skills. Since Y/n had never really been social she didn't have any friends at all except her dad. She loves him more than anything in the world including her mom. Who she hated. Her mother was always mean to Y/n since she was 3 years old. An accident happened where the L/n's where at a picnic. Little Y/n was chasing a ball her father had thrown to her. She chased it until it ended up in the street where she picked it up. Everyone was distracted except her big brother who was 13 at the time. She heard a loud horn and turned to see a giant truck coming at her. She attempted to move out of the way but to no luck. She closed her eyes and braced for impact the ball firmly in her grasp. The sound of a body getting hit by the truck was heard from her parents. This confused Y/n so she opened her eyes. What she saw still horrifies her to this day. Her brothers lifeless body blood everywhere and her parents running and screaming. Her brother gone forever. And ever since then Y/n's mom had resented her. And Y/n understands why and she also resents herself. But she would never admit that she's pretty stubborn. So almost everyday they would get into arguments until one day Y/n and her mom just never really spoke. Anyway one day they heard screaming from coming atop the house. Y/n and her dad were reluctant to open the hatch but her mom convinced her dad to do it. So they all but on their masks and sabiya puts on her fingerless black gloves and grabs her bow and quiver. The rusty ladder creaks as Y/n and her dad climb up it leaving her mom to watch over the bunker. They both quietly climb out of the bunker and quickly check their surroundings. "Dad it looks like someone ransacked the house" Y/n whispers looking at the messy kitchen. The cabinets were all thrown open and drawers pulled out on the floor. He nodded quietly. They heard another scream coming from the dining room. Which causes Y/n to pull an arrow out and get it ready. She signed for them to quietly move forward and he nodded. As they were approaching the dining room they here the sound of munching and moaning. Y/n quietly opened the door a bit to see someone she never thought she would see again. A guy named Daniel from her school he was your typical jock. Rich strong and always had pretty girlfriends on his arm. Y/n's eyes widen when she see where the munching sound was coming from. Daniels current girlfriend named Yuu getting eaten by a zombie while daniel fends off one with a chair. Yuu was the only reason she knew Daniels name. Not because she was interested in him more because she was interested in her. She wouldn't have exactly called them friends but they did talk sometimes. She was a pretty nice girl to Y/n. "So how should we assess the situation" Y/n's dad whispers as she crouches down next to him. "2 zombies and 2 people 1 getting eaten the other fighting one off.i'll get the one that's eating you take care of the other" she whispers not waiting for an answer. she lets go of the string letting the arrow whizz into the zombies head making it slump onto Yuu. Y/n runs up to the half eaten girl and throws the zombie off of her not caring about the arrow lodged into the zombie. "Y-y/n" Yuu asks her voice watery with blood. Yuu grabs Y/n's hand and put it into her not eaten cheek. Y/n feels her eyes water but no tears fall. "Yeah" she holds confidence in her voice as to not break her stoic facade. A thump behind them tells that Y/n's dad killed the other one. "I'm gonna miss reading with you" Yuu says leaning her cold cheek into Y/n's hand. "Yeah and I remember kicking your ass at overwatch" Y/n says chuckling a bit at the thought. "Yeah it was fun.i thought you were dead" she says her eyes drooping a bit. "ironic huh" Y/n lets a small smile creep onto my face trying to be strong for her. Yuu laughs weekly her eyes closed as she breathes in. "Yuu" Y/n whispers quietly tears threatening to spill. "Y/n come closer" Y/n leans closer so her ear is near her mouth. "Yuu what's wrong" Y/n asks seeing the only person she's ever loved like this dying. Yuu and her have been in school together since they were 4. Shocking right. Yuu was the reason Y/n found out she likes girls only. "I just wanted you to know" Yuu says stopping to breathe in a shagged breath. "That I loved you too" and with that Yuu breathes in her last breath her body going limp in Y/n's arm. Y/n breathes in deeply as to not cry. She cradles Yuu's body trying to regulate her breathing so she doesn't cry. "Get out of the way" a voice yells behind Y/n making her jump back. Daniel brings the chair he was just using to fend a zombie off with and smashes Yuu's head in. Her heart drops and her eyes widen. blood splatters onto Y/n and the floor. Anger runs through her veins setting her blood on fire. she look up at Daniel my eyes filled with pure hatred. "WHAT THE f**k IS WRONG WITH YOU" she scream quickly getting up lunging at Daniel. She starts punching him over and over as he brings his hands up to defend himself. "What the hell is wrong with this crazy b***h" Daniel says in his head. Y/n's dad pulls her off of him soothing his hurting daughter. "Shh it's alright babygirl I know what she meant to you but please calm down" he said soothingly. She calms down a bit but still glares at Daniel. "whatever let's just go" and with that she walks away to the kitchen. Anyway a lot happens here so I'm going to speed it up. About a month of Daniel living underground with them something bad happened. Y/n was taking a warm shower when someone slipped inside with her. She turned and punched the person with a sickening crunch. She saw Daniel and anger burned within her. She quickly grabbed a towel and ran out to her room. Anyway after she got dressed her and Daniel got into a fistfight causing her to hit her head on the wall and be momentarily knocked out. Y/n's dad ran out of his room to see what's wrong and saw his daughter crumpled on the floor. His eyes widened with anger and he immediately knew it was Daniel because his wife was with him. He grabbed his trusty revolver and went to find Daniel. He found him at the entrance tunnel of the bunker. He shot a warning shot causing Daniel to flinch. "What did you do to my baby girl" he said his voice dangerously low. What he failed to notice was Daniel had a shotgun. So when Daniel didn't answer he was about to shoot again. But before he could Daniel quickly turned around and shot Y/n's dad twice in the stomach. He crumpled onto the floor as Daniel left the bunker with a giant bag of supplies. The shots causes Y/n's mom to come running to aid but what she saw terrified her. She screamed and ran away. Y/n came running with a slight concussion. Her vision blurred and she heard growling. Before she knew what was happening something jumped on top of her. Teeth bared trying to chomp her face off. She held it back to the best of her ability but she couldn't get it off of her. So with one hand she fended the beast off and with the other she searched the floor for anything. Her hand grasped metal and she grabbed it without a second thought. She shakily through blurred eyes brought the gun up to the beasts head. She pulled the trigger blowing it's brains out but also making her ears ring. After she could hear again she pushed the dead zombie off of her with a relieved sigh. Her vision was finally cleared. She heard footsteps coming toward her and a gasp. She looked over and saw her mom holding her mouth tears Welled in her eyes. "What's wrong with you" she says rolling her eyes. "Y/n you've killed your father" her mother sobs. She looks over and her whole world crashes down. "D-dad" her eyes widen and tears start streaming down her face. And that's how it happened. it's how she started barely saying 2 words a week. How she Started not eating much. She barely drank water or took a shower. It was saving power but not her will. She became cold and cynical of everyone. She started lashing out and her mother was the one she was yelling at. She started training more exterting herself to the point where she started to bleed. She barely slept staying up at night because of the rapid voices in her head. And after 4 years she grabbed her bow arrow,her dad's revolver,a backpack full of food and water and anything else she would need. She tied her mask onto her face making sure it couldn't fall off, and in the middle of the night she left. The end of prologue i hope you like it because I have a lot of ideas for this.
