Chapter 31 - Maeve vs Skye

Suddenly another Cerberus masked man appeared in the middle of the arena who had a lot of long hair falling out.
“What a very fierce battle for the two of them.”
“Nevertheless, who would have thought that this man's ability was the natural enemy of this female prisoner.”
Then the man with the Cerberus mask approached Kinessa's unconscious body.
“Since prisoner Kinessa from the D-H& group has been unconscious, this time I announce the winner of this 6th battle. That's Jeff from the Z-OO group! let's give them both a round of applause."
The Cerberus masked man said loudly while clapping his hands.
The other prisoners also clapped loudly.
“Alright Ash, you can get off the arena now.”
Upon hearing that, Ash's body was covered in dust and his exhausted face immediately descended from the arena towards his group.
Then the man with the Cerberus mask lifted the body of Kinessa who was unconscious with his abilities to the D-H& group.
"Before we all enter the 7th match, I allow you to rest for 5 minutes first."
The man in the Cerberus mask said that while repairing the arena.

Jin Kazama turned to Claris Lily who saw that it was back here.
“Yes, he has awakened from his stupor. Even so, he is still very exhausted from using too much of his ability.”

Claris asked while leaning forward.

Jin Kazama replied to Claris' question with a question.
"Why did you destroy 'that'?."
“With this kind attitude of yours, it seems unlikely that you would commit such a grave crime.”
With a confused face, Claris asked Jin Kazama.
After listening to Claris' words, Jin Kazama didn't change his face but became even.
“Everyone has their own reasons for committing crimes, that's what I've always believed. Whether the reasons were good or bad, one couldn't stop them.
"Because they themselves have been aware of what they have done."
Jin Kazama didn't answer Claris' question but gave him a sentence that Jin Kazama had always believed while looking at his hands blankly.

The man in the Cerberus mask shouted excitedly as if he wanted to witness another exciting battle.
The prisoners watching in the arena saw two male prisoners walking towards the center of the arena.
The man named Maeve had bespectacled features with his short yellow hair.
While the man named Skye has features of a fat body with his short black hair.
“Since the two prisoners have boarded the arena, the 7th match officially begins!.”
Said the man in the Cerberus mask, this time he didn't disappear into the virtual screen but floated in the air.
After the man in the Cerberus mask finished saying that, Maeve immediately moved backward.
According to the prediction of the previous match, it was confirmed that the abilities of the Z-OO members were related to animal transformation.
“Are you serious that you don't want to directly attack me before transforming? otherwise, you might regret it.”
Skye said that after seeing Maeve move backward.
Then Skye transformed into a humanoid turtle.

Maeve laughed sarcastically after seeing Skye's transformation ability which had transformed into a humanoid turtle.

Skye said in a cold tone, then the entire body of the huge humanoid tortoise entered the shell behind her.
Then the shell fell to the ground and bounced in front of Skye.
Seeing a large and fast shell in front of her, Maeve immediately threw herself backward without hesitation.

The large shell almost hit Maeve's head who fell to the ground with her nose facing the sky.
'Damn, luckily I fell backward. If I throw myself forward, it might just hit me in the head.'
Maeve said to herself with his beating heart.
After that Maeve stood up and looked back.
He saw Skye's large shell that should have crashed into the arena wall heading towards her.
Since it was too late to dodge it, Maeve could only try to hold the huge shell with her arms crossed.
Then Maeve bounced back and hit the wall of the arena.
BOOM!
Maeve's body shattered the arena wall until it cracked and was covered by thick smoke.
"You i***t, if I can bounce off the ground then I can bounce my shell off the wall too."
Skye looked disdainfully at Maeve who was in the hole in the wall.
After waiting a while waiting for Maeve to come out of the hole in the wall, there was no sign at all.
“Hey Cerberus man, isn't it time for you to announce the match is over?.”
Skye shouted at the man in the Cerberus mask, but when she looked up all she saw was a thick fog.
"What's this? why does fog appear in this arena?.”
Skye muttered in confusion.
“Your attack just now really made my body ache.”
“If only I hadn't used the fog ability to lessen the impact of your attack, maybe my bones would have been broken by now.”
An echo of Maeve's voice spoke to Skye.
“Is this an ability of yours?.”
Skye looked around warily.
“Welcome to my mist area, as long as someone is inside the mist area I created they can never find my body.”
A cold voice came from Maeve.
"Is that true ?."
With a tone of disbelief, Skye then once again charged forward in the same manner as before.
He stuffed his body into the shell and bounced it to the ground.
Then her shell headed forward unexpectedly as she crashed into the cracked wall where Maeve should have been hit.
"I see, you didn't create a world of fog but only produced a thick fog that covered the entire area to block my line of sight."
“Do you think just that is enough to beat me?.”
After Skye said that, then she once again entered her shell and bounced off the ground, and aimed it at the arena wall.
"What you're doing is pointless, no matter how hard you guess it's impossible to know the location of my body."
Maeve said in a disdainful voice that came from all directions.
"You see first."
Unexpectedly after Skye's shell hit the wall, she didn't stop but continued to bounce her shell towards the next wall.
Skye kept doing this until the reflection of her shell could no longer be followed by the naked eye.

A sound of shells bouncing from wall to wall at a very fast speed.
“Damn it!.”
There was an annoyed Maeve's voice from all directions.
“Hahahaha, by doing this continuously it is certain that your fog will continue to thin out.”
Skye who was currently on her shell laughed as she watched the fog in the arena become thinner.
But who would have thought that in just a few moments Skye's speed began to decrease, even though the fog in the arena had indeed become thinner but it still covered the entire arena?
“Hahaha, are you proud now? You stupid !."
"You keep moving without stopping with a movement like that of course it will finish off the oxygen that is inside you."
Maeve laughed sadly while mocking the exhausted Skye.

Then there was a heavy sound that fell to the ground of the arena.
"Don't you know that fog can make it difficult for the human lungs to breathe? If you do movements that require a lot of oxygen, it will make you unconscious faster."
Maeve said to Skye who had collapsed on the ground.
