I woke up the following day feeling much better as the heat had subsided, but I knew it was just for a few hours and it would resume. Leaving the bed, I went into the bathroom and stood in the shower as the cold water poured on me. My thoughts drifted to yesterday and the immense pain and discomfort I went through. For a moment, I thought I was going to die, which made me fear what would happen today.
Last night when Alpha Darwin walked into my room, I was relieved and thought he had come to help me, but I was wrong. Alpha Darwin hates me so much that he can’t even bear to look at me, much less touch me. Tears trickled down my cheeks, but I gathered my emotions and left the bathroom.
