I stood there numb, staring at Darwin f*****g Bella. As if to make matters worse, Bella was holding my gaze with a look in her eyes—a look that told me she was trying to make me jealous, and obviously, she was doing a great job at it.
I wasn’t actually jealous that Darwin was f*****g her, but what made me jealous was my inability to join them. My wolf had been urging me to join, but I held myself back. It was obvious she didn’t want me, so I decided to respect her decision.
