Alex's blue eyes examined her face. Slowly a frown formed on his forehead. He stopped his teasing advancement, knowing it was going too far.
"No...." Aurelia choked out. She lifted her hands and pushed his chest. Alex let himself be pushed until she was satisfied with their distance.
He turned over and sat on the edge of the bed, keeping a distance from her. He patted the mattress and pulled her up to sit next to him. Two thin lines of tears dropped from the deep emerald eyes. It evolved heart touching sympathy from the onlooker.
Alice wiped her face and sniffed, "Sorry."
She was not able to get over her own insecurity. Alex was probably disappointed in her.
"Relax, I am just teasing you." Alex helped her take off the tilted tiara off the hair with a chuckle.
