Chapter 22 Spending time with her grandmother had been one of Anne’s favorite things as long as she could remember. Now the visits left her perfectly balanced between sorrow and pleasure. Joy and dread. Her Gemaw’s time on earth was growing dreadfully short, and Anne felt that change in her own body. But she wanted to spend as much time as she possibly could with the only person who understood her odd experience of life so far.
