Chapter 4 Tim glanced across the wide cab of the big Dodge dually. He wasn’t surprised DeVore drove with the same effortless confidence he brought to everything he did. Although the photographer almost intimidated him, Tim wanted to get closer, to insinuate himself into every facet of the man’s life. They were still virtual strangers, but part of him insisted he had known and even loved the older man forever. DeVore had hinted at a personal tragedy that changed his life, at a deep discomfort or even a phobia about crowds and interacting with others, yet he revealed so few signs of it that Tim had trouble believing him.
