"She...what? How come I don't know about it?" Tessa stares at Lucy with wide, fearful eyes, almost pleading. Lucy keeps her expression carefully blank, enjoying the show before her.
So, this is what happens in this place? People get jobs by sleeping with the bosses, cool. She is so firing whoever is behind such nonsense. People should earn their positions because they have the qualifications, not because they have hot bodies.
And she would have pardoned Tessa if this was the first time she was meeting her, but these people made a fool of her in highschool, hanging out with her when it suited their interests and treating her like everyone else the rest of the time.
