The night is uncomfortable for Adam as he tosses and turns all night, failing to get quality sleep because he is used to sleeping in the best environments, on high-quality beds and covers. The blankets he has used cause a reaction on his skin, making him scratch himself half the night. It is as though they are infested with tiny insects, which makes him angry as he thinks the woman should put more effort to ensure the comfort of her guests. It is almost like he has gotten the room for free when he's paid even more than he's supposed to.
Maybe there are no insects at all, maybe it is just his skin reacting to the feel of cheap blankets. Because to be honest, he has never spent a night in such a place in his life, he's always had the best of everything since birth.
But it's all worth it. I
