With a primal roar, the taller man hoists the shorter one high above his head, the veins in his arms bulge with the exertion. The shorter man struggles, his fists pounds futilely against the taller one’s grip. In a brutal motion, the taller man brings his opponent across his knee and the next thing we hear is a sickening crack of his spine breaking through the silent arena. The shorter man's scream is cut short and I watch as his body goes limp. Without a moment's hesitation, the taller man flings him into the roaring fire that borders the circle they fight in.
The flames consume his opponent instantly and the fierce heat licks at his lifeless body. Instead of cheers, there are horrified gasps spread amongst the villagers who didn’t think the fight would end so soon
