Melissa Spatiatis. “I’m here, I have got you.” He says. My arm wraps tightly around his waist, I cling to him with all the strength I have left, my hands latch onto the fabric of his regal tunic as if letting go meant losing the safety he provides. He holds my head against his chest, but I can only hear the steady beat of my own heart.
