Shrai took the news a bit better than he thought. In fact, she wasn't mad about Janz heading up the quest. Yet, she understood Heldon's feelings even if he didn't voice them to her. 'I know how it feels not being able to speak up for something important. I'll tell you about the story with my brother sometime.' Shrai had murmured, dark eyes looking at some far-off point on the horizon. However, now she watched him and Janz in the sand training circle, near the end of their spar. The setting sun turned the sky an array of pinks and oranges. Adrenaline piped through Heldon's veins and sweat dripped from his brow. He held out his shield, preparing to swing forward with his practice sword. Janz had his two-handed broadsword out, and he had barely broken even the faintest sheen of sweat. He
