    Darkness. That’s all that greets me when I open my eyes. Just pure inky nothing. I yawn, unsure what time it is, not really remembering when I fell asleep. The bed is cold, the blankets must have fallen off at some point. My hand roams out, looking for them but to no avail. I sigh, sitting up and swinging my legs off the bed.     My bare feet touch the freezing cobblestone floor. The world seems to grow slightly lighter, tall buildings stretching upwards for miles around me. I spin around, looking to see where I came from. The dark alley stretches out behind me, dissolving into the infinite void. Rain softly caresses my bare skin, running down my body.      Thunder rumbles overhead, a storm is starting to roll in.
