Tate has always been top of his class, he knew answers to everything and if he didn’t then he made sure to find out the answers even if it meant that he couldn’t sleep, he was looking at Amy trying to find answers…
“Amy you are wearing jeans, why are you wearing jeans? I took out a dress for you remember?” her mother asked and she nodded.
“Yes mom but I couldn’t wear such a tight dress during dinner… how will I be able to eat while I can even breath in the dress.” she said with an innocent smile…
Hell, she decided not to wear that dress because she couldn’t repeat what she did in her previous life, hell this time she was going to be doing things differently…
Her mother didn’t say anything and when Amy looked in Tate’s direction she found that he was already looking at her, it was different from the way he looked at her in her previous life…

She tried smiling but it just came out as a frown, she can't even tolerate him in a room full of people how is she going to spend time with him???
When they were done with dinner Amy’s mother spoke, “honey show Tate and Charles the garden.” said her mother…
The smile on Amy’s face disappeared, “so I am old enough to get married but when you want to talk about things concerning my marriage, I need to show people who don’t even want to see our garden the garden?” she asked earning a smile from Tate…
Even he could see that they were trying to get rid of them so they can talk about what to do further, “yes we don’t have to see the garden, she can stay here and listen to what is being said” said Charles trying to be supportive…
Amy turned to look at him, “I wasn’t asking for permission and I have a mouth to talk for myself, now mom and dad I am not going anywhere… this is my future you want to talk about and I want to hear it” she said firmly.
Her parents were surprised to hear her say that, the Amy they know wouldn’t want to be involved in any business talk, “fine then you can sit but we want to talk about our companies merging” said her father…
“Well, the dad, I should be, here shouldn’t I? I am going to be a majority shareholder after all when the merger is done.” said Amy but Tate looked surprised, “what does she mean father when she says she will be the majority shareholder?” asked Charles…
Charles and Tate are supposed to be the majority shareholder, not Amy, “well when we merge our two companies we will hold 40% shares while their family will hold 30% shares, considering that the 40% will be divided among the two of you Amy as the only child will have 30% shares making her a major shareholder followed by Tate who when we add his 5% share that he bought on his own he will own 25% share and then you… the remaining 25% will be divided among the rest of the shareholders.” said Miles Anderson…
Tate didn’t move a muscle because he already knew everything while Charles couldn’t believe what he heard, he owns 30% of their company now and Tate owns 45% and now it is like they are being demoted…
Tate could see the frown on his little brother’s face, “relax, the shares you own now are worth 200 Million dollars but when we merge the shares you will own then will be worth 500 Million dollars” said Tate.
Well yes, Amy will earn more than them but Tate has other businesses that he can rely on…
“When we merge the companies Tate will be the CEO as it is now and I will step down.” said Amy’s father, “why should Tate be the CEO??” asked Amy making Tate laugh…
“Because I know what I am doing, I have been doing this for 3 years now who else do you think should be CEO???” asked Tate with his deep and calm voice but Amy could tell that he was a little pissed off…
“Me, I will be the majority shareholder and for that reason according to company policy I deserve a shot at being CEO but because it's going to be one big company I don’t mind being co- CEOs she said making Tate laugh…
He laughed out loud like what Amy said was a joke, her parents were standing there surprised, a week ago she was saying that she wanted to explore her music then what happened?
“She is right son, she has a business degree and was top of her class just like you… you didn’t know anything when you started but I trained you, all she needs is someone who can train her” said Miles but Tate just scoffed…
“Good luck finding that person.” he said and Amy looked at him with a smirk.
“I just did.” she said looking at him, when he saw what she was implying he kept shaking his head no, “I am not training you.” he said firmly but Amy’s smirk didn’t drop…
“No problem then, I will find someone who can train me but what if they don’t do things the same way as you and then when I am finally your co-CEO I mess up even the smallest things and then you will have to clean up my messes? You know what they say, ‘if you want something done right then do it yourself, want me to be a good co-CEO instead of a liability then you will train me yourself.” she said, and Tate couldn’t help but glare at her…
She had a valid point, if he lets someone else train her then she might mess up meaning more work for him.
“Fine be at work on Monday first thing, that is when your training starts and don’t come there wearing jeans.” said Tate standing up and saying good night...
Charles was left sitting there surprised of what happened, he was told that she is just a young girl who doesn’t know what she wants but the girl right in front of him knew exactly what she wanted, and she knew how to get it…
When Tate says no he means no but she got him to say yes against his own will, how was he going to win this girl’s heart?
Another issue is that what if in her training Amy falls in love with Tate?
I mean Charles is handsome and can get any girl he wants with his charms and he is a kind and graceful personality while Tate has can get any girl on her knees without even saying a word…
Yes girls still like charming, caring and kind guys like Charles but girls love dominant, cold and distant guys like Tate even more, they see them as a challenge, like ‘I can make him change and make him fall in love’.
Knowing that someone would change who they are just to be with you is what every girl wants in life and from what he has been taught girls are the same…
The moment they left Amy’s parents interrogated her, they asked her why she was suddenly interested in the business.
Not only that but she wants to be the co-CEO, her answer was a simple “I want to try something new, my music wot go anywhere and this is my time to challenge myself… I thought you would be happy”.
When she said that she completely silenced them, but they all had questions in their mind, will she be able to do it?
