Since they went in the equivalent of the Oval office, Paul and Ben had not talked about what they really wanted to talk about. It was like they were avoiding the topic. They kept talking about politics and their families, baby Amber and of course Scott and Arya not knowing they were meant for each other. The real topic of discussion was a landmine and Ben was waiting for Paul to feel comfortable enough to share with him which he was not doing and did not show any signs of planning to.
