I was born again!

799 Words
In the following hot days, the outside world was like a huge furnace, so hot that people could not go out. I could only sit at home helplessly, opening the food delivery software on my mobile phone again and again, hoping to see that the goods had been restocked. Every time I opened the software, my heart was full of expectations, but every time I was disappointed. My hope was so slim, as if it was gradually evaporated in this scorching heat. Those buckets of instant noodles became my last straw. I began to allocate instant noodles carefully, and ate every meal very sparingly, just to make these limited foods last longer. But how long can a few buckets of instant noodles last? As time went by, the instant noodles became less and less, and my heart became more and more panicked. The feeling of hunger was like a shadow, tormenting me all the time. My body gradually became weak, and every movement required a huge effort. I lay on the bed, looking at the ceiling, my heart was full of despair. I began to recall the good days in the past, those times when there was enough food, but now it seems so far away. As the days passed, my body became weaker and weaker, and my consciousness began to blur. I knew that I had reached the end of my life. After this difficult struggle, I finally starved to death at home. My body lay there quietly, my face was haggard, my eyes were lifeless. The room was filled with a breath of despair, as if telling my final tragic experience. The high temperature was still raging, but I could no longer feel a trace of warmth and left this world forever. As I lay dying, my consciousness gradually blurred, and my body seemed to have lost all its strength, floating like a leaf that could be blown away by the wind at any time. My mind was like a projector, constantly flashing various images. I kept thinking: If I could do it again, I would never take it so lightly. Under the scorching heat, the storm of fate raged, and I vowed that if I were to live again, I would live to the end and become an unyielding legend. When I first heard the high temperature warning, I should have taken action immediately and went to the supermarket and market to purchase sufficient supplies, instead of continuing to immerse myself in my own little world. I would carefully make a shopping list and prepare all the necessities of life, food and heatstroke prevention supplies. I would buy more storable food, such as rice, flour, canned food, etc., instead of just thinking about the current enjoyment and ignoring the difficulties that may be faced in the future. If I could do it again, I would not only think about my own heatstroke plan on the weekend and ignore those important reminders. When I swim, I will pay attention to the high temperature warnings on the radio and prepare for the upcoming extreme high temperature weather. I will communicate with my colleagues in advance and discuss ways to deal with the high temperature, instead of waiting until things become out of control before regretting it. However, it is too late to say anything now. My life is slipping away bit by bit, and those regrets and annoyances are like heavy shackles, which make me breathless. But I know that all this is irreversible, and I can only walk slowly to the end of my life with endless regrets and remorse. Suddenly, a dazzling light flashed across the sky like a sword, and the light was so strong that people could not look directly at it. Then, a strange scene appeared in the sky, as if the entire sky was distorted by some mysterious force. The dark clouds rolled and surged like surging waves, and the color kept changing, sometimes showing a strange purple-red, and sometimes turning into a deep dark blue. The wind swept in with a roar, blowing the windows creaking, as if they would be shattered by this violent force at any time. I woke up suddenly with a start, and my heart was beating violently in my chest, as if it wanted to break free from the shackles. My whole body was soaked with sweat, and my clothes were tightly attached to my body. The wet feeling made me particularly uncomfortable. I sat on the bed in a daze, my mind in a mess. Could it be that... what just happened was all a dream? However, this dream was too long and too real. Every scene and every detail was so clearly imprinted in my mind, as if I had really experienced it myself.
