Him

Still a little shaken from seeing Jimmys dad, who last I heard from Jimmy was still locked up, I start doing my nightly tasks, to try and keep my mind off of it. I was wiping down tables when I felt it. Someone was watching me, normally pretty observant, I was mad at myself for not noticing before. I am trained to notice everything, the fact that I didn’t instantly worries me. As I scan the bar, I see him, he is no longer looking at me so I use my opportunity to scan. Barely fitting in the booth, he had to be at least 6’3, dark medium length hair that had a slight curl to the ends. I found myself wondering what it would look like just a little longer, how pronounced the curl would be. He had a square shaped jaw, lighter skin then normal, almost pale but not quite, and my god the man was built. His black short sleeved t-shirt was stretched so far across his muscled chest I thought it might rip. Sad that i couldn’t see more from the position he was in I scan back up. His lips are full and Pouty. I can’t help but imagine what they would feel like slamming against mine, as I am pushed up against the wall. The ache, the need to be taken so fiercely all other thought is lost. Damnit Mak, get a grip! I laugh at myself, I haven’t really been attracted to anyone since the incident happened. Wow, what an image that was. Shaking my head to rid it of the images it conjured, I allowed myself to finish my assault of this man as my eyes scan up and come into contact with the most piercing ice blue eyes I have ever seen. s**t. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up as I realize those eyes are too blue to be real, which means he has some killer contacts or he isn’t human. Yes, you correctly heard what I said. You really think that we humans walk alone as the only species on this earth? How naïve we are, to believe the government when they tell us this, because they believe society to be too immature for this knowledge . But I know the truth, and I know this because I worked along side of them. Went to battle with them, and even against some of them. Faster, more powerful, and with abilities us humans can’t fathom, they are a force to behold. Once the government learned of their existence, they called a truce. We keep their secret from the rest of the world and they help us win wars. There are many supernatural being that are government employed , but I know his kind. I drank blood from his kind, to make us more powerful, although some of the effects are only temporary, some are for life. They are The most deadly, the hardest to control, and the only species with specific weapons against humans, and the only ones with ice blue eyes so intense they brand your soul. I whisper it to myself, mostly to confirm it , a word I thought I would never speak again, something I never thought I would be in close contact with again, Vampire. I quickly look away, hoping he didn’t notice me recognize what he is, humans are not supposed to know. Or worse, he recognized me, I am unsure if he was there that night, I do not remember much, but if he did then it’s not a coincidence. Vampires are very in tune with the human body, their seductive nature calls to us. Moth to the flame sort of thing, but I know the look on my face was something different, I know my look of lust would have turned to disgust, and they can smell our arousal. If he noticed, I’m screwed. I duck in to the back room, trying to buy myself some time. It was very stupid of me to react. I am trained not too, but I slipped. Why did I slip?! Something about him, I just instantly wanted, his body called to me, until I saw what he was. It has been almost a year since I returned home, my life isn’t great, but I won’t go to that dark place again. Vampires don’t care about humans, we are expendable as rodents to them, and I almost didn’t make it back.
