CHAPTER 6 I DIDN’T CARE who turned their heads as I ran across the lobby. Dignity? What dignity? A twinge of pain shot through my wrist as I smacked into the bathroom door, but I barely noticed. Was anyone else in there? I did a quick recon, relieved to find myself alone in a fancy bathroom complete with rolled towels and a basket full of make-up samples.
