                                                                                           Kalai I scanned the vast concrete arena and the shifters around us. There were too many of them to count. I could also see the uniformed Doragon soldiers skimming the area with their eyes and sense of smell. But then they wouldn’t know it was me and Davroz with Haalash that breached the fortress area the other night. My eyes momentarily settled on the red glittering eggs placed on the ground. Each was about twelve inches in length with nine inches in diameter. I watched them with fascination while gripping the double-edged sword in my hand. The six eggs looked real. They were like the one I once saw in the fortress when one of the palace maids laid an egg. Now these, they weren’t real, were they? B
