PRELUDE
❝ each sunflower varies a
different meaning, but all of them
just naturally represents my
undying love❞
March 5th.
I found myself
being completely aware yet, surprisingly, not troubled that I could feel that familiar soft gaze in my direction. There's this part of me that already knows his gaze without even checking like I usually do before. I don't know, it seems like I'm already used with this. I know that his lips are formed into that breathtaking smile as his eyes continue to look at me with adoration.
Well, at least that what my co-workers tell me.
He needs me, I am aware of that fact even though it's very weird in my part. I don't know how he would 'need' someone like me when we just met each other. Well, we met last month but that was it.
He's well... weird.
His mother once told me that he hates the smell of coffee and everything about it. That's why one would wonder... why even visit the same old coffee house every damn day?
"Tami," I look at him and his smile automatically intensified, "You love sunflowers, right?"
Without giving much of a though, a smile automatically formed in my lips. Ever since I was wee baby, I would love everything in relation with sunflowers. My dress would have the shade of sunflower or its design. My whole room is literally filled with fake sunflower designs that were hand painted by my mother. As I look back at him, there's this contented expression in his face.
I nodded and smiled, "They're my life! Oh my gosh!"
"I'll give you one sunflower every day, with a letter for exactly thirty days."
"Why?" I questioned, frowning my forehead.
"Hmm," he grinned, before sipping his water, "You have to figure it out."
Weird but... I sighed and nodded, "As long as there are sunflowers, Shawn."
Shawn has always been the man of his words.
He's the kind of guy who everyone sees as the dreamy, perfect and real boyfriend material. Well, not exactly everyone. There is this girl in the coffee shop, Tami Elliot, who sees him as a normal guy. A guy who is constantly so annoying and would always require her attention.
He always knew that one day, he could change the way she sees him.
Then he thought about sunflowers.
When the last sunflower is given, what will exactly happen?
