Chapter 14

I always wanted a change. To make a difference, that will make a big impact on another's life. Because I always wanted to become a person who will give a chance for anyone. That's also one of the reason why I take my position as the head of the Council.

But sometimes I hate it, like today. Why people do this kind of things? Seeing the dead bodies in front of me which is murdered brutally by this men, makes me curse life itself.

Everyone should have a chance to live the way they wanted. And no one can't take away others life so freely just for some petty reasons.

"Why?" I stutter out, while I slowly trudged towards them.

The men in white robes, just look at us blankly. Letty look at them menacingly and I can feel an intense power growing around her.

Looking at the dead teenagers around, I can see that they are Silas friend who have been attacked the other day. And I can also see Silas, like the others he is not in good shape too. Both of his legs are b****y and broken, his left arm is completely detach from his torso while the right arm is bended in a weird angle.

I can hear their heart as it slowly beat inside their chest. Not far from now and death will come to them. And I can not do anything to help them.

I snap my head towards the robed men, and hissed angrily. My eyes start to glow, and I can feel my vampiric side coming out. But not like the other time that I willed it down I just let it out.

My body starts to grow. My blonde hair grow longer. My blue eyes turn red, and my incisors start to sharpen. Blue veins become visible around my temple, while my blood turned hot.

"Oh f**k Raffy! What the hell?!" Letty exclaim fearfully.

"Go Letty, and get Rex." I state coldly, while I begun to saunter towards the robed men while they slowly take a step back. They probably know about me. It's good. At least they have an idea on what's coming.

"Okay, but please don't be irrational..."

"I won't promise anything.." I feel her run away, but I didn't move my gaze towards the robed men as I saw them move and encircle me.

One of them launch at me, his red sword pointing at me. I swiftly move on my left, as another one throw a red lance directly at my head. Raising my right hand a powerful force disintegrated the lance before it hit me, making it crumble and turn into dust.

Gasp filled the air. Fear slowly begin to form on their heart, and it makes me grin wickedly. I inhale a mouthful of air, and suddenly snap my fingers then one by one, they burst into flames.

"No!"

"Please, stop!"

"Have mercy!"

They yell, scream and plead for me to stop. But I didn't. I watch them burn, slowly and painfully with cold blank face.

Then I walk towards the bodies lying around. And I can't help the tears flow from my eyes.

I always hated the humans, because they are weak and fragile. They can break and die easily. And I can't do anything but to watch. But suddenly I saw Silas slowly stir. Walking towards him, I crouched down and put my fingers toward his neck.

His feelings suddenly filled me when my fingers touched his skin. Sadness, loneliness, anger, hatred, resentment and regret. I feel an unknown emotion start to grow inside of me, it might be sympathy or pity I didn't know. I just knew that I can't let him die. Not here, not now.

I move my hands toward his heart, turning my back to the group of men who is slowly burning behind me. I lift my other hand towards them and slowly extract their life force then I let it travel inside me and transfer it inside of Silas.

No one can take the dead and let it live again, that is against the law of mortals. And I know that what I'm doing is something beyond normal. Because I'm letting a human to live again, even though its clear that he won't make it anymore.

Actually I am one of the few immortals who has the power to do so. And the reason why I know Kimmton - who is a Death God; is because he know what I can do. But its not easy, and my spell has its own limitations.

To completely let the person healed from death, I need to take away the life force of another human. I need to sacrifice someone's life to let the other person live. And I don't usually save someone, that's why its unexpected for me to save them.

Seeing the wounds slowly closed up, is somewhat impressive. I even have a hard time thinking that I can do something like this. Especially attaching this one's head. The robed men are watching me with feared eyes. As they saw their comrades slowly turn to dust, as they remain inside the ball of fire, completely hopeless and powerless while I slowly extract every life force that they have.

After I finished healing the four young teenagers, I'm almost on the verge of collapsing. But there are still two robed men remaining. Holding out my hand, I let out a dark shadow engulf them. I still needed them....

"Sir..." Rex stutter out, when he crouched down beside me.

"You've done it?" Letty suddenly ask when she look over the bodies in front of me.

"Yeah, I guess.." I shrugged nonchalantly. She just sigh at me and shook her head.

"Go on, Sebastian is searching for you?" She huff at me and wave her hand. "Just leave them to me.. I need to take them to hospital and erase their memories. Geez Raffy, don't just leave them like this, I don't want to clean up after your mess.."

"I don't know what came over me, but I just can't let them to die on me Letty.." I exclaim tiredly while I slowly stand up. My body started to turn back on its original form, but I'm still deadly tired. Damn it!

She just look at me for a minute and study me, then let out a big sigh. "Well I guess, you still feel like human. Oh well, what is done, is done. We can't change it anymore."

"Sir, you need this." Rex pipe in, as he give me a tumbler. Opening it, the rich aroma of my favorite blood filled my nostrils making my mouth water. Hurriedly, I take big gulps of the red liquid. Letting my thirst sated, while my body start to regain its strength.

"Ugh, that smell awful. I can't believe that you can take that.." Letticia's voice state as she crunched her nose.

"Hmm, it smells good for me. And of course you won't know that. Oh well, I need to go already. I will leave everything to you, okay?" I state seriously, and close the lid of my tumbler.

"Yeah, have fun with your wolf boy!" She yelled out, and I almost fall on my feet. Turning around, I glare at her heatedly but the she devil just sweetly smiled at me.

Looking around, my mind wonder at the events that just happened a while ago. "Take care of them for me, Letty."

Letticia's face change, her eyes returned at the boys who are lying on the ground. "Don't worry, I know that they don't need to experience anything like this again. I can assure you that, they are going to be fine.."

Yes, they are going to be fine. And not just them, but the others too. We need to move fast and finish this war already, so that no one will be hurt anymore...

That's what on my thoughts when I start walking towards Rex car. My mind is in total haze. That's why I didn't feel the ominous aura behind me, until its too late.

Letty's scream filled the forest. Whipping my head, my head become numb, while my eyes widen.

"No! Letticia!!!"

Letticia's face is filled with horror as her body slowly turn to dust, while I can saw the tip of a red lance which is embedded on her chest. Looking up ahead, I saw another group of white robed men carrying the bodies of the four teenagers that I just saved.

I quickly run towards them but they suddenly vanish, leaving Letticia lying on her back.

"Oh no Letty, please wait. I'm going to save you..don't please..." I whimper as I took her hands, but it just crumble on my hands.

"You don't have to Raffy, I think its my time already.."

"No you're not gonna die, you are my friend and I'm going to save you!"

"Rex, please bring Rafael away from here." She suddenly said coldly.

Rex, haul my body as a mist burst out from him engulfing both of us.

"No, Rex! Let me go! Letty needs me! Letty!? Letty?!"

Before the mist completely covered us, I lastly saw Letticia smile softly at me and whispered. "I know you're going to be just fine Raffy. Because you're strong."

"No!"
