Moon Forest Pack-----Zoey

Over the next several days, those around Zoey noticed her strange behavior. She always slept in unless woken up, wore black and if she was in the sun, she covered her skin regardless of how hot it was outside.

Today was no different, but instead of her aunt waking her up for school, her aunt went into her husband's office. When she walked in, she saw her mate sitting behind his desk, but his beta was across from him.

“Good morning,” Cindy said as she made her way over to Tom and sat in his lap.

Once in her mate's lap, Jay said, “Alpha, Alpha female, I finally have some information regarding your niece Zoey.”

“I don’t like your tone,” Tom said as he looked his beta in the eye.

“Her records were sealed, including her birth certificate. Honestly, the only information I have on her is what I got from her last school.”

“Who sealed the record,” Tom asked.

“That is a mystery. It wasn’t a human government, I can tell you that.”

“Do you think the council?” Cindy asked as she turned and looked at her mate.

“I wouldn’t put it past them. Is she nearly seventeen?”

“Yes.”

“Then she should have her wolf.” Cindy quickly said.

“She should but she has shown zero signs of having one. Her behavior is odd.”

“It is.”

“Alpha’s, she has to be told soon because the council will arrive soon and to top that off, the alpha of the Black moon pack called. One of the pups is having health issues and their doctor cannot figure it out. They have asked if the child can be brought here to be looked at. His beta, the young alpha and the parents will accompany her.”

Tom ran a hand through his hair and sighed. “That is fine. The child can come at their earliest convenance and we will speak to Zoey after the child arrives. I assume the black moon members will be here in a matter of hours.”

“Yes alpha.”

After the trio were done talking, they went about their day. Cindy and the alpha prepared for the visiting pack who was a two-hour drive away and were already on the way.

Zoey was fast asleep as the day slowly went by until she suddenly gasped and sat up. Her eyes were blood red.

Xavier’s Point of View

We had just arrived to the Moon Forest Pack and Lilly began to scream in pain again. The pain she was in was horrible and nothing we did helped her. Even my father the alpha could not help sooth with his power.

“Were almost their sweetheart,” Carol, Lilly’s mother said as she ran her hand through the young child's hair.

Thankfully, our beta knew where the medical center was because the screams were getting worse. He drove past the pack house and down another road to a medium size building. Medical staff along with the alpha were standing outside as we pulled up.

“Carol, they need to take her,” Beta Rick said as he put the car into park. Suddenly, medical staff were opening the door and grabbing the child.

Once the staff had Lilly, we all got out of the car and followed them. We all stood outside her room while they worked. As the Alpha of the pack and my beta began to talk, my wolf perked up.

‘Brace yourself. She is coming.’

“Who?” I asked, but he did not say anything.

Several minutes later, there was a commotion towards the building's entrance, causing everyone to turn that way. Suddenly, a woman appeared. Her skin was smoking and her eyes were blood red.

“Zoey,” Alpha Tom said the exact moment my wolf howled in my head and said, ‘Mate.’

My mate looked towards the room and was suddenly gone.

“You can’t,” I heard the doctor say, causing me to look in the room. Everyone was in the middle of the wall. It looked like they were being pinned. Alpha Tom and Beta Rick tried to enter the room, but the second they walked through the door, they were sent flying out.

“What the hell,” my beta said.

I kept my eyes on my mate and she whispered to Lilly and she stilled. Suddenly, Zoey sliced her wrist with her finger and put it up to Lillies mouth.

“Stop,” Screamed Carol as she tried to get to her daughter.

Once Zoey removed her wrist from the child's mouth, she picked Lilly up and walked out of the room. I tried to get to her but I was stuck in place.

“What the hell, Zoey,” Alpha Tom screamed.

Zoey looked at him and said, “You brought a changeling here. Your actions will only bring death to your door, Alpha. Once she is safe, we will talk, but until then, leave me be or I will have more than just her to deal with.”

I watched as my mate walked out the door and the moment she was gone everyone could move. Those pinned to the wall were now back on the floor. Beta Rick, Alpha Tom and I ran out of the medical center. I watched as the pack soldiers were stuck in place as my mate walked with the child still in her arms. Suddenly she stopped and waved her hand. The ground began to shake and it opened.

My mate walked into the hole and once she was out of sight, the hole closed and everyone could move. The soldiers began to dig, Carol ran over to the spot, collapsed on the ground, and screamed.

If things couldn’t get any worse, three council members stood there looking at Alpha Tom.

“What the hell is that?” One of the council members asked.

“I have no clue,” Alpha Tom said.

‘Isn’t she magnificent?’ my wolf asked.

‘If you say so. I have no clue what happened.’
