"Oh no you don't" I heard the alpha say as he began to walk after me. I could hear his angry footsteps behind me and I began to speed walk. He began to run and I stopped in my tracks, envisioned my lair and began to disappear. I could hear his swearing but I was done answering questions.
I opened my eyes and went to the child sleeping, placing my hand on her forehead. She was starting to turn cold and that was a good thing. "Not too much longer, little one," I said. Soon she would awaken and hungry. That was another issue. She would want to feed on something living. I wouldn't be able to satisfy her hunger with my blood.
I sighed as I ran my hands through my hair and closed my eyes. Life was so complicated. Suddenly I could feel someone begin digging again and I was angry. Did they not understand what danger they were putting the kid in?
"Time to teach these wolves a lesson," I said as I transported to the surface. There was screaming from my uncle at the other alpha to stop as I appeared next to him. I grabbed the alpha by the throat and smiled. "Now didn't I say to stop digging?"
He tried to talk as he put his hands on my shoulders and tried to push me away, but I laughed and tossed him away from me. The alpha stood up with glowing eyes and began to charge towards me as he turned into his large wolf. I got into a fighting stance. He wouldn't be able to touch me. Vampires were faster and stronger but changelings well, we were something else.
Just as he was about to get to me, another wolf a little smaller tackled him to the ground. I watched the two of them fighting and smiled. My mate came to my rescue.
"Enough," My uncle yelled as he stood next to me and they stopped. Both wolves growled at each other and my uncle said, "Change back now."
I watched as both men changed back and someone handed them both a pair of shorts.
"You ever do that again and no one will stop me from hurting you." The alpha said to the other man as he put his pants on.
"Whatever dad." I stood there in shock as my mate called the other alpha dad, but the second he laid eyes on me he winked and the butterflies came rushing back.
"What the hell is going on?" My uncle asked.
"I followed her into the woods for answers. Let her feed off of me and she answered some questions but not others. I want answers."
"Where is my daughter?" A women screamed as she came towards me. I held up my hands and she walked right into the invisible wall I created. This caused her to fall down.
I stepped away from my uncle and looked around at all the wolves. "Listen and listen well. The child is safe for now."
"You took her into the ground. What are you?" Someone yelled from the crowd around us.
Questions began to fill the air and my breathing began to quicken. I never dreamed this would happen. I was discovered too quickly and now there is another one of my kind here. To top all that off, my mate was here, as was the council.

Xavier's Point of View
The crowd was throwing questions at her and the stress crossing her face was breaking my heart. My father was ready to kill her and now the council was approaching.
'Go to her and stand by her side,' my wolf said, and I smiled. He was right.
I began to walk towards her, passing Lilly's mom and straight into the barrier. I was able to walk through it but I did have some pain. It felt like I was being shocked and my wolf was going crazy.
The moment I was through, my wolf calmed down and I walked over to her and took her hand. She looked at me and I smiled.
"Hi," I whispered.
"Hi."
Suddenly, Lilly's mom was trying to get through the barrier but kept being thrown back.
"How?" She screamed as she got up and came at the barrier and began to hit it.
"Enough," I shouted, causing everyone to stop and looked at me. "She has said the child is safe and if anyone wants answers you need to stop bombarding her with questions. In fifteen minutes we will meet in the, Alpha office and she will answer questions then. Those who need to be there we will see you then."
I then looked at her and she looked back at me. "Will you take us to see the girl?" I asked, as I pointed to Lily's mom.
"I can't", she whispered.
"And why is that?"
"Because if she wakes up she could you or her mother."
"How soon till she wakes up?"
"Not till tomorrow, but that is based off when I awoken. I can't guarantee anything."
"Please," I said as I squeezed her hand. "This will give her peace of mind and allow me to tell everyone she is OK. Apparently your word means nothing to those around us."
She took a deep breath, closed her eyes and let it out. "Fine."
"Thank you." I looked back at the crowd and said, "Carol and I will go and check on Lily. Those of you who do not need to be in the alpha's office need to go home until further instructed. You have done a wonderful job trying to protect the pup but now you must let those of us involved to get everything straightened out."
People began to murmur but I began to walk towards Carol, keeping my hand in my mate's, pulling her with me.
"Where to?" I asked my mate as we reached Carol.
"Follow me."
We walked away from the crowd towards the back of the pack house and suddenly the ground opened up.
