Chapter 3
No way to escape.
“Never, Dad! I'm marrying no one!” Elena declared with a yell.
“You're looking for someone to use; why don't you ask Shirley to marry him instead? Beside, it is her mother that needs the money, not mine!”
Paw! Elena received a heavy slap from her stepmother.
“How dare you talk about my daughter like that?”
“You know that Billionaire Adams has a dark past, right? And that's the man you people are proposing for me to marry because of money.”
“Ha-ha-ha-ha,” her stepmother sneered.
“Aren't you lucky and grateful that at least we've found someone for you? Who do you think would marry a bunch of bad luck like you? Your mother almost lost her life at your birth; she slumped on your graduation day, and it is on your account that she died. Don't you think you're cursed?”
“Our decision is final, Elena. We requested 200,000 dollars, but he ended up giving us 300,000 instead. As part of your compensation, I'm transferring $50,000 to your account,” her father concluded while pressing his phone, and in a few seconds, Elena received the alert on her phone.
“Well, I think there's one alternative in case you don't want to marry him; maybe you should become a stripper and raise enough money for us,” her stepmother stood at the door and added with a shrug before she left.
A few years ago, her stepmother was diagnosed with a rare disease that requires a lot of money for surgery. Mr. Ramson had used all his life savings and sold his properties but still couldn't raise enough money.
That faithful morning, they decided to run to Brian Adams, a young billionaire, for help. He was an ex-convict and has a lot of dark past.
“I'll help you out, but only on one condition. I need to marry one of your daughters. One child from her would be enough, so three years of contract would be okay,” Brian declared.
“Elena, you have a visitor,” she was called out from the kitchen by her father two days after they broke the news to her.
She took off her Apron and navigated to the living room; seated and facing her was a huge, tall, and scary-looking man with unshaved bears.
“Your future husband is here to see you. He offered to take you out, so you need to have a quick shower and change up,” her father declared before he excused the two.
With a smirk, the man said, “You heard him. I'll be waiting for you. But please, don't waste my time; I have other important things to do,” the man said icily.
“So rude! You'll regret ever accepting to support my family!” Elena cursed inwardly with a fierce look at the man before she proceeded to get herself ready.
He took her in his car, and they drove to an estate. She thought he was taking her to a restaurant or somewhere similar, but her guess was wrong when he stopped the car at the front of one big mansion.
He stepped out and opened the door for her. “You're welcome to my mansion, your future home,” he whispered, and held her hands to walk her in. Elena pushed his hands away and walked on her own.
The mansion was heavily guarded by security.
“Here, take some juice,” Brian Adams offered as he placed two glasses of juice on the table before her in the living room.
"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not hungry.”
“Just go ahead and tell me why we are here. Besides, why do you choose me? Why not my half sister?” Elena demanded coldly.
The man smirked, “For the second question, your parents can answer that, but for the first,” he paused and slowly pulled his hands towards her cheeks, while his lips were so fast to collide with hers.
“I want to know if what I'm given is worth my money. Just like you try shoes in the market before you buy, right? So I also need to have a taste of you.”
“Get your filthy hands off me!” Elena screamed and pulled him away, while she shifted a little, creating a gap between them.
“Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, you're mine already, baby. You can't say no to this when I finally marry you.”
“Over my death body would I marry a scumbug like you!” Elena declared and stood up, carrying her bag angrily to leave.
“And where do you think you're going? You seem to forget the heavy security at the gate. Do you think they'll let you pass without my permission?”
Elena froze; she gently reduced her height to sit down on the couch; her heart was throbbing. She never saw this coming.
“Blair, I need one shot, now!” Brian Adams instructed hoarsely as he placed his phone on his ears.
A few minutes after the call, a tall, fair, and absolutely beautiful lady walked in, dressed in skimpy outfits.
As if told what to do already, the lady wiggled towards him, dropping her bag on the table immediately she approached him.
Elena was totally clueless of what was happening, until she saw the lady clasp her hands around his neck, and suddenly, their lips met in sync while they gently pushed each other to the 3-seater couch. With soft moans emanating from the lady, Brian plunged himself in and out of her thighs.
What a f**k! So disgusting!
Elena was stifled to see a woman who could be so shameless and perform such an act in the presence of her fellow gender.
“You see what just happened now; that'll be your daily major task when we get married,” Brian asserted.
“God forbid! I'll never marry you!” Elena countered strongly.
He smirked, “And how do you think you'll achieve that?”
“Just watch and see!” Elena declared and took her bag abruptly to leave. He had already instructed the men at the gate to grant her exit.
“Elena, you can't continue to live your life for others. Arise and fight for yourself! Seven years of hardship from your family, and now another three years of marriage to an ex-convict? No! I can't suffer for a whole decade!” Elena scolded herself as she walked down the streets to board a taxi to her home.
She halted her steps when she approached a POS kiosk.
“I need cash of $50,000," she said to the lady in the kiosk as she pulled out her ATM card from the bag and handed it over to her.
"Please input your PIN, ma'am,” the lady said softly.
The lady's expression changed, and her forehead knitted in a frown after Elena input her PIN.
“Is everything okay? Elena asked softly.
"No, ma'am, I think it's a network error. Please input your PIN again.”
“Alright,” Elena took the machine and did the needful.
"Sorry, ma'am, it's showing a card error; maybe you should try to transfer with your phone,” the lady suggested after she tried another customer's transaction and it was successful.
“This account has temporarily been blocked. Please contact your bank for more information.” The message was displayed on her screen as she tried the option of transfer.”
“What!”
Elena froze.
She had originally planned
to use the money and escape, but unfortunately, her father has frozen her account.
