"I love how you want to make this all about me, but for now, I think we need to focus on keeping River and Sage safe," Courtney declared with a sardonic laugh.

"Maybe not. She has yet to come into her full powers. Sage's powers that she'd already had were bound when she was younger. They were returned at Thanksgiving when the Miller family unbound them. But Sage's powers will manifest fully once she turns eighteen," Courtney contended.
"River is my twin brother, and Sage is my best friend. Of course, I want to keep them safe. I am just not convinced I should trust you," Rave conceded.
