Just before the bell signaling the end of lunch, River and I went to our third-period classes. It wasn't awkward; we just said goodbye once we realized the time and entered the school. I still needed to learn what this was or what it meant to River or me exactly, but I was content. For now, that was enough. Environmental Science was rather intense. Today's lecture was on contemporary environmental challenges, their causes, and their effects. In small groups, we were to create a presentation of how an ecological challenge has led to advances in science or technology.
