I knew I wouldn't sleep because I'd be consumed with worry if I didn't read the messages that my best friend had sent. Bracing myself, I opened each one and forced myself to read it carefully and calmly. Raven liked each of the photos I'd sent her and said that she was glad I was having fun—nothing of concern, no messages sent when the cloaking spell was on. I sighed in relief and decided to send her a quick text back.
