I was surprised to see how quickly my dad took to Rafe and Seraphina. He was cuddling and petting them, being super affectionate. It was hard to remember then that my father was against animals sharing our home. Mom had gotten them everything they could need to have at my grandparents' home while we visited. I hoped my new companions would also enjoy the items I'd bought for them at our home.
