"River is not just a witch; he has more gifts and a different heritage than you," my Mom said softly.
"Before you ask, it is not my place to say or explain, so I won't. Mr. and Mrs. Foster asked your Dad and me not to, and we will honor their request. We insisted they be forthcoming with him and explain everything to him," my Mom said firmly.
Her expression and tone made it clear that this was not a topic for discussion, and I let it go. River or Raven would say something when I called tomorrow if their parents had explained by then.
"Well, I will go to the kitchen and bring out the dishes. Sage, can you please go and tell Phoenix that it is time for dinner?" my aunt asked.
